    What did I say that was not gentle? I just said we should not be so generous at letting people into our nation who want to destroy it. Abraham Lincoln deported and imprisoned several journalists who were critical of him. Franklin Roosevelt interned thousands of Japanese Americans during WW II, yet, I bet you think they were gentle.

    Not only that, Mr "Cheerful" also said that white kid who recently shot those black people in that church was a Republican, which he wasn't. So, I don't know who Theodore is trying to fool, but it certainly isn't you, me, rlm's cents, or any other sensible person.

    Franklin Roosevelt, as you aptly pointed out, interned the Japanese citizens against their will in concentration camps. Some would argue that the Japanese were treated humanely in those camps, but the act of interning them in concentration camps is, in and of itself, inhumane and against the very tenets upon which this country was founded.

    You need to read the rest of history. Apparently it is all Jefferson's fault.

    The First Barbary War (1801–1805), also known as the Tripolitanian War and the Barbary Coast War, was the first of two Barbary Wars between the United States and the four North African Muslim states known collectively as the "Barbary States". Three of these were nominal provinces of the Ottoman Empire, but in practice autonomous: Tripoli, Algiers, and Tunis. The fourth was the independent Sultanate of Morocco.[2] The cause of the war was pirates from the Barbary States seizing American merchant ships and holding the crews for ransom, demanding the U.S. pay tribute to the Barbary rulers. United States President Thomas Jefferson refused to pay this tribute.

    He doesn't follow the news. He also said the lady in Kentucky who was denying marriage licenses to gay couples (Kim Davis) was a Republican. In fact, she ran for office as a Democrat, won the Democratic primary, ran and won as a Democrat against Republican John Cox in the general election and served as clerk while denying the marriage licenses as a Democrat. Only later did she switch parties to Republican. A word of caution: Don't believe anything JoeNation says... verify it for yourself.

    I heard that many were locked up in dilapidated conditions i.e. no heating during winter, no running water/sewage, inadequate food etc.

    Democrats don't have a problem with that as long as it's THEIR guy doing it.

    The events went largely unnoticed in the American news cycle. Interest in the Paris attacks trounced the media attention to Beirut.Google Trendssearches highlight themassive disparityin news headlines and search interest. But on Twitter, the demand was loud and clear.

    I gotta ask a question. Maybe a few. First of all, why are we in the Middle East? What possible interest could we have with any Middle East country? Second, why do groups like ISIS or Al Qaeda want us to get involved militarily? You would think that the last thing they would want is another military to fight.

    Anybody?

    To protect our citizens.
    Their thinking has nothing to do with our logic. Just like why would anyone want to kill themselves? Yet somehow they do. Until we can irradiate that kind of thinking, the world (including USA) will not be a safe place to live.

    Now it is my turn to ask. Why would we want to add to their leadership? And why would we want to let them into our country without vetting them? BTW, there is no way to vet anyone or anything coming from Syria. There is no one there capable of giving an honest answer.

    If ISIS is contained, from what are the refugees fleeing?

    A couple facts I picked from your film;
    "US backing down".
    al Qaeda affiliate ISIS formed joined February of 2014. i.e. had nothing to do with Bush.
    It omits ISIS spread to Iraq, Nigeria, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Philippines, Egypt, et al.
