He was in a hospital in Dubia in June of 2001 and the CIA employees visited him there, what is your point?
What's a disgrace to this country is those people who voraciously put down other points of view because their own are underdeveloped and unsupported.
In support of the statement that those with his perspective are destroying the country: 1. Refusal to adopt the Hillary health plan is destroying GM and Ford and many other important American businesses ("as GM goes so goes the US economy"). If you do not think that health care is the number one problem with American business you are not aware of American business at all. 2. The illegal war that those with this mindset support and started will top a trillion dollars before all is said and done (this is paid for with deficit spending, meaning interest on those bonds has to be paid, the interest alone may break us), this creates indefinite debt for our grandchildren. 3.Our reputation as a nation among other nations has been destroyed. Other nations once looked to us as a becon of freedom and good, through torture, and a go it alone foriegn policy we have destroyed the good will of ALL of our former allies (even Brits- not their gov't but the people- are polling 75% neg toward the USA). other items include environental policy that supports the polluters, media policy that supports consolidation, and energy policy that gives us $3.25 per gallon gas. All of this is the tip of the iceberg, and to deny it is selfdestructive.
I guess our village idiot needs to put on his training bra! Maybe he can attach one to his brain too! :mouth:
Look at that. I am accused of not supporting my arguement by people who can only resort to name calling.
In response: 1. I'm 20, and so healthcare is neither something I'm particularly concerned about right now, nor is it something I have studied in depth, and so I will leave this alone until I have a better opinion about it. 2. The war in Iraq is neither illegal nor a bad idea. You can't have an illegal war simply because you can't have a legal war. There's no such thing. My children/grandchildren are going to have a lot more to worry about than some unpaid war bills unless we get dictatorial regimes out of power and help the world to support freedom and democracy over tyranny. 3. Our reputation as a state among other states has been destroyed ever since we became a superpower. No state ever likes to be behind another, and since the USA is the #1 superpower in the world, the USA will be the #1 disliked country in the world. That has nothing to do with torture nor a "go-it-alone" foreign policy. Torture is practiced by every country in the world (whether they admit it or not). And the only reason we have the policy we do towards Iraq is because no other country would support us for fear of retribution by terrorists (see: Spain, Britain, French riots). No environmental policy can every fully support the environment, nor can it every fully deny support to polluters. We as humans make pollution, plain and simple. Putting words down on paper by Congress won't change that. The media is inherently liberal, so why are you complaining? And energy policy isn't going to be changed overnight, and I am actually pleased that the President has taken a good step forward with his calls for alternative fuels. Hopefully soon we can find an efficient and safe way to harness hydrogen fuels, and move away from oil, which is becoming a burden. Like I said, good luck defending your position. ~AJM
these are just uninformed opinions that you are trying to use to counter my facts, you have not supported anything.
First pick I'd say would be Lyndon Johnson-was a person with no scruples. Bill Clinton is my 2nd pick.
Danr, take a look, everything you stated as "fact" is no more than your opinion about the state of world affairs. You have not supported anything either. And by the way, I'm not the one who needs to support anything. I'm countering your points. You are the one with the need for support. Again, good luck DEFENDING YOUR POSITIONS. You have not yet done so, and with comments such as these, you never will. AJM
If you think that it is not a fact that GM is going down the tubes you showld invest in them. If you think that that war was a good idea you should enlist BTW you are a young guy and not as set in your ways, you might want to rethink your politics.
Looking at your poll I would say it says it all dont it. Nixon was a crook, Clinton couldnt do anything worthwhile, he was always thinking with the wrong end. He lived off of Reagan and Bush's economic adjustments. Now JWB is living off of Clintonomics. I remember hearing a few days after JWB was sworn in that the economy was in the toilet. Amazing what a person can do in just a few days isnt it. As for your remark regarding going into a metro area and everyone hating Reagan. Visit Detroit. Maybe Detroit isnt Metro enough, How about taking a poll in Chicago or LA. Sorry Danr, your wrong about this one. Fact is.. I live near Detroit.. Huge Democrapic area and Reagan is not viewed as you state here. He is in the top 3 of the best.
As Winston Churchill said: "If you're not a Democrat by the time you're 20, you have no heart, and if you're not a Republican by the time you're 30, you have no brain." I've just skipped the Democrat stage and gone right to having a brain. Also, as you said before, I never said that GM/Ford AREN'T going through a rough time due to outsourcing and other factors. Finally, whether I enlist in the military or not is my own business and has no bearing on whether or not I believe the war in Iraq to have been a good idea or not. Also, I never said before that I "think that that war was a good idea." I said that there's no point in saying it's "illegal" because a war cannot be "legal" or "illegal." Please keep your facts straight the next time you attempt to weakly put down my statements. It makes it that much harder for you to counterpoint my statements. ~AJM
Outsourcing? No way it is all healthcare. You would do well to read my posts and take them as gospel truth, I do know what I am talking about and apparently you are listening to people who do not.
Danr, honestly, The above statement from you is perhaps one of the dumbest things I've ever heard you say.
Now we know where the Pope gets his marching orders! Just look where Danr has promoted himself. There it is folks, right from the horses mo...oooops! wrong end!
Liberals.... they all can never come up with real rebuttals, and hence are poor debaters. I don't think I've ever met a Dem who could actually put up a good fight in a debate. Danr only serves to prove this theory.
