Right, so technically, the central bank, is NOT a Federal institution. Correct?

The only way to truly test this is to not pay your income tax.

When the IRS comes for you, take them to court based on the unconstitutionality of the whole deal.

    See how you go :D

I wouldn't be foolish enough to try, but I am curious enough to know if this is in fact a myth, or is truth.

I don't know... I assume it is.. The federal reserve board.

It is a very complex law. Originally enacted during the civil war, amended and later reinstated in 1913. It is indeed a law, however. All taxable income shall be taxed federally and even locally in some cases.

Many people have tried in vain I'm afraid.. The "legal" evaders seem to be an urban myth.. all I've seen is people get raked over the coals.

    Sort of.

The Board of Governors that oversees the Federal Reserve is an actual Federal Agency. There are member banks below the Federal Reserve Banks that are privately operated.

Sounds like a conflict of interest for a "free market" if you ask me..

No when it comes to Federal institutions that deal with privately owned companies they must be equatable. It is closely watched to make sure that it is. Everybody gets a fair shake.

So why does it have such an impact on the stock market? The beacon of "free market" capitalism? Aint equitable for us morons who saved dollars instead of sinking it all into Enron..

It appears they equitably split up billions of dollars and print money like it's going out of style..

But it was ratified by at least 3/4 of the states. So it is also Constitutional Law.
