Who apart from me has seen 'Supersize Me'? I couldn't believe what McDonald's America were thinking when they were selling Supersized fries,Coke that came in a 42 Ounce cup (Fluid Ounces,I presume),& Coke that came in a Half Gallon bucket (or pail). You'd guess that an elephant could eat a meal that size, but McD's expected someone to eat such a humungous meal.No wonder why Yanks are getting so elephant-like.To say that they are teddy-bear-like is an extreme understatement.

The facts speak for themselves.Did you know that there are
83 of the Golden Arches on Manhattan island alone? I can guess that there is a McD's on just about every corner,& there may be 2 of them on opposite corners of the street.

Take my advice, don't do what Morgan Spurlock did,or you could end up in a box 6 Feet under & pushing up the flowers.Mind you,Mr Spurlock did his 1 month experiment under medical supervision, but it nearly killed him.

I saw it in my health class (I'm 14). Many other kids were laughing the whole time, saying, 'Hey, that 2500 calorie meal is what i had for dinner last night.' It's sad, this whole obesity epidemic. Though, I can't blame it on fast food companies.

If you need a movie to tell you that eating Mcdonalds, or any fast food, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is bad then i feel it is my duty as a human being to inform you of a few other things.

    Shooting your self will hurt.

Drinking Draino is bad for your health.

Leaping from tall buildings is not recomended by OSHA.

Oh and eventualy we all die.

You want to eat a cheeseburger? Eat a cheeseburger.
You want to live in fear of that cheeseburger? That is your prerogative.

Now excuse me while i step down from my soapbox! :p

I gave up fast food long ago (well, almost) but I picked up the movie today at my local library. I'll watch it tomorrow.

People act like McDonalds shoved food down their gullets. There was some 150 Kilo kid suing McDonalds a couple of years ago for making him fat. He at meals at McDonalds 5 times a day, which is more than I would eat at McDonalds in 1 Year. But I don't like American food, thank you.

We have a McDonalds in my hometown and it is always empty. There are a couple of police officers that go there but just because they eat for free. Fast food and farmers just don't mix well.

I couldn't agree more. There is currently a guy who weighs 300 pounds suing them, because he said they decieved him, by making the food look healthy by saying "100% all beef", seriously, how stupid do you have to be to think mcdonalds is unhealthy.

thats just an old wives tale. i do at least 30 jumps a weeks just to keep my legs in shape.J/k

what i think is really funny are all the people that eat the salads from fast food and think they will loose weight and cover it with fatty dressings and have a large coke with it.
a large coke anywhere you get it is about a quarter of your daily calorie intake.
is this really any worse than the bacon and biscuits with gravy and fried eggs that we ate for generations as a healthy breakfast? we have just gotten lazzy.

Something to take note of when visiting McDonalds. Portion sizes are smaller in Europe than they are in North America. Doesn't seem to matter where you are in Europe, I have seen McDonalds in Sweden, Germany, Ukraine, France etc and they all have smaller food than you eat in the USA.

In France you can order wine and beer in the McDonalds, at least the ones I saw.

Give the devil his due. McD's are offering some healthy stuff like the chicken salads (which are tastey). Take a look you may be surprised.

and I read an article that said they recently decided to print the nutritional information on the wrappers and such - voluntarily. These nutritional facts have been available on cards that can be obtained by request, but most people don't know that. It was a very responsible decision, considering that the information on those wrappers may discourage consumers from buying.

The problem with their healthy menu is that it is costly to maintain - because nobody buys it. I think it is difficult to hold a company responsible because it sells what people purchase. As unhealthy as it is, the only reason why McDonalds has a supersize option is because enough people buy it, so it makes the business money.
