Hey folks !!! How bout that white anglo tea party type that has gone bezerk and taken hostages at the Discovery Channel building ? I hear that he was a Tea Party, Bill O'Rielly-Glen Beck watching moron who listened to FOX news all day and blogged his conservative extremist garbage at night........Leave it to FOX news to cause this type of deranged Christian to grab a bomb and an automatic weapon and take hostages....... we need to round this type up, they are terrorists !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Jack, where'd you get this guy's bio from or are you just kidding? I have heard none of this and if it is true, this guys certainly doesn't represent ALL those in the Tea Party but he would definitely be a symptom of the problem if what you say is true. Where did you get your info from?
Having read more about this, I get the feeling you are taking a stab at sarcasm. If I'm not mistaken this guy is being compared to an eco-terrorist. I'm still not sure why the Discovery Channel would be the target of any Left-leaning individual but I know nothing about the Discovery Channel either. I think when incidences like this happen, either side of the political divide are only too happy to paint their opposition with a wide paint brush like the times we've seen violence from Tea Party people and the Left is quick to condemn the violence as a product of the Right, but that isn’t the whole picture. The underlying grain of truth here is that the extreme language being used, whether it is from the Left or the Right, is eventually going to set-off someone that is already straddling the fence of sanity. The reason you tend to see more incidences of violence on the Right than you see from the Left is that the Right tends to engage in more extreme language more often but the Left also has it's proponents that use extreme language. The lesson here is tone down the rhetoric and we will have less unstable people that feel justified in committing acts of violence on either side.
Try listening to the news in stead of your drivel and you might even learn something. Although in this case. I might even agree with some of your comment - he may be a symptom of the problems. Al Gore's problems.
Actually far less to do with Al Gore and more to do with Daniel Quinn and his book "My Ishmael". How about if you try to listen to less Fox News instead of advising me to watch more news. I'm sure Fox is all over this story with it's own "unique" perspective. And read my second post, you could actually learn something.
You would not care to site any references for "the times we've seen violence from Tea Party people", would you? BTW, "The reason you tend to see more incidences of violence on the Right than you see from the Left is that" you don't watch Fox and they are the only network that even mentions the violence from the left. Did you ever hear of Bradley Neal Crowder, Daniel Andreas, bomb threats against FreedomWorks, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Michael Enright, and on and on and on.
The only thing I have learned from you so far is how blind you and your friends are and how badly you skewer the truth. And, no, Fox was not all over the story. Their only mention of it was to contradict the left media's story that he was a right winger.
Moen, He has a point. After all, this is a direct quote from Rich Sanchez (CNN news anchor) about Lee, the eco-terrorist. The guy shows up with a gun and bombs and Sanchez says "he may have taken it way to far". I get the feeling that Sanchez felt bad for the guy. Wonder how he felt about the hostages and their families.
I guess you misunderstood my post, but in this case I agree with you. Pelosi, Olberman, Sharpton, Rather, Couric, Chuck Todd, and Andrea Mitchell have caused more violence than the entire tea party peoples put together.
Lee said at the time that he experienced an ‘‘awakening” when he watched former Vice President Al Gore’s environmental documentary ‘‘An Inconvenient Truth.” In reference to one of his protests at Discovery. The one he was originally arrested for, I think. Quote from MSNBC, btw. I knew that hate monger Al Gore was going to get people killed!
Mr Moen, yes, I have a black belt in sarcasm What I posted was just to illustrate the lefts knee jerk reaction in many cases. When the failed NYC bomber was first reported, it was called by Bloomberg and MSNBC and CBS to be " Probably a Tea Party Type " who was mad that Obamacare passed....it was later discovered he was a radical Islamist.... When a abortion doctor was killed by a nutcase, it was widely reported that he owned a Bill Orielly book....right here on THIS forum !!!! Then, I pointed out that the UnaBomber had the Al Gore book and the thread died quickly :-( Ok, now some examples of rightwing tea party violence? I cannot find any...... Ok, now for some leftwing violence? Too easy.....look at and G8 or G20 meetings....the left erupts in violence. Rather than left, perhaps I should say greenies.... Look at the black dude beat down by union thugs for being a conservative...... Look at the New Black Panthers video preaching to " kill cracker babys "...yes, that same person speaks at Al Sharpton rallys.... Look at leftwing enviorwackos blowing up damns........ the list is endless.... Mr Moen, can YOU provide me with an example of tea party violence that I canot debunk?
He was angry with the discovery channel because he thought it promoted over population. Shows like... 'Gosslins?' and another like 'Raising 19' or '19 and growing' Something like that. DICLAIMER!- Something like that. I am not sure of the titles of the shows.
I have to ask what difference does it make what sort of winger he is/was, the guy was a certifiable fruit cake
Yes! And so are Bradley Neal Crowder, Daniel Andreas, bomb threats against FreedomWorks, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Michael Enright, and on and on and on, IMHO. Point being that Mr. Moen stated that such insanity mostly cause by the extremity of the right; I find such statements both absurd, ridiculous, and totally ignorant of the facts. BTW, so far I have seen no evidence of any extremist violence attributed to the right (and none to the tea party either here or otherwise). I am not saying none exists, but stating that the majority are due to the right...............
