As I said in the introduction page, I am from Scotland. I live in the small village of Rothes (Morayshire) deep in the heart of whisky country. There are about 40 distilleries within a 12 mile radius including names like Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Glen Grant etc. - I'm sure a few of you out there will have come across some of these Malts.
No, but I knew a kid named Gregg in highschool. I favor rum or vodka on the (now rare) occasions I feel a need for a drink, but have had an occasional sip of whiskey in the past. I vaguely remember a night a friend an I had with a fifth of some cheap whiskey poured into two half-empty Squirt bottles (2 liter plastic jugs). For legal reasons I plead the fifth!
Until you try a nice single malt that has been well aged you have not lived and dont go adding ice or water for me it has to be Laphroaig the smokey tang of peat and hint of heather Ah normally go for the 18 year old cant afford the 25 LOL I did see a bottle of 50 year old in the whiskey shop down Old Compton Street a few years back and salivated at the window
