And it is human nature to act in one self interest. That is why the two party system with opposing ideologies works. They successfully cancel each others radical ideas out. Don't think for a minute that he Republican right are interested in the health of our nation more than their own personal agendas. How many politicians of either party would serve their country as legislators if there was no monetary pay and they were limited to one term in every political office. The number would be very small, but the representatives would be true patriots, not the political scumbags who currently run our government.
