What's up here? Where are the Liberal/progressives?

I was on this site about a year ago and it seemed to be full of a lively, back and forth discussion. Yes, there were some trolls who posted junk and did not back up the trash but there seemed to be civil discussions ON ONE SUBJECT AT A TIME until a member losing the discussion deflected in "Yeah, but twenty years ago your guy did this.

Now, it seems all the Liberals have been beaten down by facts. Now I only find one uninformed deflector in the discussions. Every other poster seems to be informed Conservatives. Heaven forbid the Lib becomes "ignored" by every one posting regularly. This place would be as dead as the NGC coin forum.

What has happened here in the past year? Members banned?

 

NGC might be more lively.
Facts got in the way of the leftists (you could notice it last year and this year it has become particularly hard to ignore). Now they only pop up when one of their talking points takes center stage and MSNBC tells them to get on the soapbox.

The liberals are certainly depressed that their Utopia didn't magically appear after the 2020 "election". I can't say I blame them. I'd be depressed too if my guy had abandoned our friends in Afghanistan and caused the deaths of our American soldiers, caused the price of gasoline to reach the highest levels in history, opened our southern border to murderers and rapists, brought the country into such disrespect by other nations, brought the highest inflation rates in a generation, was completely unaware that there was a baby food crisis and who can't even string two sentences together without mumbling, rambling and being corrected by his underlings. Yes, I'd be so depressed that all this and more happened in only one and half years, no less. I'm sure the sky-screaming liberals have scurried off to their safe spaces where they can wear their jammies and drink a cup of nice hot cocoa while they watch MSNBC and CNN incessantly.

 

A year ago there were indeed fewer conservatives and more liberals on Partisan Lines.

We lost one liberal who persistently posted on P/L during regular business hours for his full time employer. Evidently, he must have decided the income was more important than his ineffectual progressive memes, regurgitations and one-liners. We haven't seen him since December.

We also have one self-described liberal, who seems to have been left behind by the Democrat Party, and fits very comfortably among others here who describe themselves as conservative.

I could characterize myself as a liberal in my youth, but I seldom mention it because most start out that way, outgrowing it as they mature.

Then there are the holdouts . . . JN, and progeny GW. Energetic and shifty. They want to stay idealistic I guess, not wanting reality to throw a wrench in the works.

I wonder how long it will be before GW is progenitor to a new member? Maybe that one will grow up when the whole truth is again taught in our schools.

 

What're you talking about? . . . Don't you and CNN and MSNBC know that all good leftists can't watch incessantly . . . they can only watch in between naps!
