Well I've delved into Moondance and Tupelo Honey so far. I love the title track tracks of both of them. Also, "And it Stoned Me" from Moondance. But just about everything on both albums is good really. Are you a Van fan?
Oh, absolutely. He's my favorite. I really discovered Van with his "Beautiful Vision" album in 1981. I'd always heard his hits like Moondance, Domino, Brown Eyed Girl, etc. and liked them, but he never clicked with me until I heard his "Beautiful Vision" album. Yes, "And It Stoned Me" is a fantastic song. My favorite on the Moondance album is Into The Mystic. In fact, I recently bought a Japanese pressing of Moondance and it has a different version than the U.S. version of Into the Mystic. Van plays tambourine on the song and it completely blew me away. There is so much great Van to listen to, it would take weeks to listen to all of it. Your local library probably has most of Van's albums that you can check out for free and give a listen. If you haven't listened to much, may I recommend a couple of songs to you? (song - album) 1. Celtic New Year - Magic Time 2. Streets Of Arklow - Veedon Fleece 3. You Don't Pull No Punches, But You Don't Push The River - Veedon Fleece 4. Rough God Goes Riding - The Healing Game 5. You Know What They're Writing About - Into The Music It's always good to meet another Van listener!
sounds like you listen to a lot of drug heads to me. Bachelor party song- no women no cry. Wedding song - Freebird, If I should leave tommorrow. Well maybe not. Best music ever, Pat Boone or Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band. Tough to tell.
Favorite Van Morrison song would be Cleaning Windows (at least I think that's the name of it). I heard a song that he and blues great Albert Collins performed together on the radio a few times. Can't remember what it was but interesting to say the least. Now Andy. My wedding song was a Marley tune. Is This Love. As for Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band all I can say is Party Till Ya Puke.
Music is my favorite band. Never was too keen to set my eyes on one song or group, I prefer to culture myself.
