Ive heard of a mere 5k being contributed that gets a big favor in return. If she came out of nowhere to beat the favorite in the primary; why is it improbable that she could win the seat? I'd persoanlly welcome a senate decision relied on a ouji board and eye of newt.
Others would call my poker & coin activities fiscally irresponsible given my current income level and net worth. But since I don't have any children, I am in a position to take more risks with my money. I am certain that I will come to regret my decisions in the future. Maybe then I can complain about it, just like you!
Dr moen lives to bash Repubs for their nominations but what about the Dem Senate candidate in SC? Alvin Greene? Wonder what the good dr thinks of the dems who voted for this guy?
This witch just gets spookier and spookier.... Another university is bringing Christine O'Donnell's self-professed education history into question Wednesday, as Claremont Graduate University, a school that the Delaware Senate candidate claims she attended, has told Talking Points Memo that they have no record of her being there. "Claremont Graduate University has no student or education record for an individual named Christine O'Donnell," Rod Leveque, a spokesman for Claremont told TPM Tuesday, despite O'Donnell's inclusion of the school on her LinkedIn education history. A similar response had been given earlier to blogger and radio producer Gary Scott, who thought to inquire based on the news that O'Donnell had not even officially received her undergraduate degree from Farleigh Dickinson University until earlier this month. TPM did a little digging and found that her campaign site might give a more accurate depiction of her involvement with a conservative think tank called the Claremont Institute, which has no relationship to the Claremont Graduate University that she has filed under the education section of her LinkedIn profile.
Lets also look at her opponent...an admited Marxist.........why is that not raising any flags, from both the Dems or the Repos ? Have we really got that far off track that an admited Marxist candidate flys under the radar?
Jack- I mentioned this fact a few days ago but dr moen ignored it...I'm sure a Marxist candidate isn't outside the norm in his world. But what about Alvin Greene in SC or the dem in CT (I think it's CT) who has embelished his military service?
I really don't know what the reference to the Marixist comment is nor have I heard it in context but I do know that even if he actually belonged to the US Marxist Party (Not sure there is such a thing) he still has the right to run for office and still looks better than O'Donnell in any case. Found it! http://s3.mediamatters.org/static/images/item/20100920-coonsamherst.pdf This is the source of the Marxist label. You people are too funny.
Hey, here's a BO lie that no BO-defending lib here has ever had the gumption to address: What about those phony jobs in phony districts BO "created" to try to convince the public his grand spending schemes were working? And, oh, by the way, unemployment is still well above 8.5%, foreclosures are rising, bankruptcy filings are increasing and more & more people are losing their jobs. If this was the "Summer of Recovery" what are we going to call the Fall?
The number of unemployed persons (14.9 million) and the unemployment rate (9.6 percent) were little changed in August. From May through August, the jobless rate remained in the range of 9.5 to 9.7 percent Government employment fell by 121,000, reflecting the departure of 114,000 temporary Census 2010 workers from federal government payrolls Total private employment continued to trend up modestly over the month (+67,000). O'Donnell...The gift that just keeps on giving. O'Donnell claimed that China was plotting to take over America WASHINGTON — Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell of Delaware said in a 2006 debate that China was plotting to take over America and claimed to have classified information about the country that she couldn't divulge. O'Donnell's comments came as she and two other Republican candidates debated U.S. policy on China during Delaware's 2006 Senate primary, which O'Donnell ultimately lost. She said China had a "carefully thought out and strategic plan to take over America" and accused one opponent of appeasement for suggesting that the two countries were economically dependent and should find a way to be allies. "That doesn't work," she said. "There's much I want to say. I wish I wasn't privy to some of the classified information that I am privy to." "A country that forces women to have abortions and mandates that you can only have one child and will not allow you the freedom to read the Bible, you think they can be our friend?" she asked. "We have to look at our history and realize that if they pretend to be our friend it's because they've got something up their sleeve."
Considering the last 60 or 70 years of our military involvement in Asia, I would suppose that both countries have military contingency plans related to invasions and wars between one another. However, her being privy to any such information with any accuracy is highly doubtful, I would think. Her outlook on national relations sounds a little naive too.
You don't think China would like to control the US? I'm guessing they would if they could. Not much "dirt" in your post Dr Moen.
C'mon. The girl is squirrel bait. Do you really think she is privy to classified intel? She has a new campaign ad out that she states she isnt a witch. Isnt that what all witches would say? Didnt Nixon go on TV and say he wasnt a crook? She is trying to convince people she isnt something thats MADE UP! What a loser. While she is at it, she should tell everyone she isnt the Easter bunny or the gypsy girl Esmerelda
lol I thought it was actually a fairly well done ad all things considered. She uses her looks and populist stuff pretty well. The whole "I'll go to Washington and do what you would do." and "I'm you." stuff was delivered well. Someone coached her up good but you can still see that Sarah Palin insanity ready to bubble up at a moment's notice. She looked like she could hardly contain herself from throwing in a 'You betcha' or some 'Momma Grizzly' references. Or maybe a shake of the head and a wink.
I heard there was a concerted effort by some of the dem candidates to eliminate the habit of beginning answers with "look" because it tended to evoke thoughts of BO & his speech mannerisms. Now, do I think she is a bit "squirrely"? Sure I do but you gotta admit that the electing of BO has sure lowered the bar.
