Yeah I remember those stories in the 70's too. I heard sometimes they would abort or even kill the fetus if it was a girl. This way they can try again for a boy.

i can speak but not as freely as u, who is taking it as a native language. Heihei, i am leaning.
Very glad to meet you@ on this site!
If u r interested in china, i can be ur tour guide on internet. and if one day u come to china , i will be tour guide in chian. In wuhan, there are more than thousands of foreigners here! u r also very welcome!
first of all, many foreigners who have stepped on the land of china expressed their love for china, at least they said they prefer the chinese healthy food here, which help them to maintain their figure! and even lose pounds@

    You do well.. :)

I couldn't understand a bit of your language. I wish I could though.. Thank you so much, I would love to visit China.. I absolutely love Chinese food and usually eat it for lunch everyday when I'm at school. :) Likewise from me for you in the USA.. Minnesota anyways.. We just got a bunch of snow. Should be nice and warm soon. Spring is around the corner. I love to golf.. I'm in school to be a nurse right now. I really enjoy it. I went back after 15 years and owned a dry cleaners for 11 years in between..

I wouldn't worry too much about that. You're pretty darn good with your English. Heck you type better then many of us with our typos. :D

Welcome to the site and It's always great to learn about people from other parts of the world, as in their culture and customs. I'm guessing if you stay around you'll get plenty of questions from the people here and feel free to ask us anything you would like to know about us.

What is happening to our girls? Lets see, first off, most kids are raised in daycares as both parents usually have to work. Less supervision when they are older, the **** they watch on tv. Seems noone is warning, watching or educating them on such issues.

Well it's the mentality of morons like this interviewer. He thinks ten year olds are to young to be educated in this. I think ten year old is just about right.

Good point. I don't see this a 'moral' issue, either. It's more a health and safety issue. These girls (and boys) just need to learn how to protect themselves better.

I think it was in 4th or 5th grade they took the girls to another classroom and us boys watched a hygene movie. I don't know what they watched but that was it for me.
