Hehe. You guys joke, which I have no problem with. But seriously, cannabis has been used for thousands of years, by numerous cultures, to treat a vast number of ailments, not just physical but mental as well. Stress, anxiety, depression, pain, lack of appetite (another of the benefits for kimo patients), in the past it was even given to women during child birth way before they had the modern drugs. Its natural. Also its fibers used to be used to make everything- sails, ropes, paper, the constituion was printed on hemp. The covered wagons of the old west were made from hemp. The word canvass comes from the dutch pronunciation of the word cannabis. Even fuel and food can be made from hemp. Fuel that burns much cleaner than fossil fuels. Cannabis could perform miracles, help slow global warming, and the destruction of the rain forests. Its all about money. Its surely no coincidence that marijuana was made illegal (largely due to false propaganda) the same year that the dupont chemical company came out with plastic. A product which hemp surely would have been a major competitor of. The U.S. senate debated the illegalization of hemp for a whole 90 SECONDS, and passed the law prohibiting it AGAINST the recommendation of the american medical association! Sorry for rambling, but I am a hemp and medical marijuana advocate, and I feel very strongly that the prohibition of cannabis is and immoral, unjust law which was built upon lies.
    Thanks.

I have no problem with it being legal in general for adults, not just medical reasons...hell...its safer than booze...you cant OD on it like booze and I seldom find cases of violent pot heads beating the wife and I never see potheads selling themselves on the corner for pot money...it seem rather safe comparatively...I havent a clue why its banned and booze (what seems to me a much harder drug) is legal...go figure.

Drusus, I agree with every word of what you just said. Something like 500,000 people die from tobacco each year, 200,000 from alcohol, but not a documented case of marijuana killing anyone. I'm very passionate about this subject. I've been involved in alot of demonstrations. I was part of the group that made marijuana possession equal to a traffic ticket in Columbia, MO. And I spent most of 2005 in a Missouri prison for supplying sick people with cannabis. Hmmm... perhaps a diefferent thread should be started, we've strayed a LONG LONG way from a joke about two irish fags. LOL.

Personally, I don't use marijuana. Never have and probably never will. HOWEVER, I certainly think it should be legalized. I don't see any more harm in marijuana than any other minor drug.

Think about tax the states could claim on sales of marijuana. It would keep the product clean (instead of being laced with who-knows-what by the local back alley dealer). It would keep a lot of "criminals" (and I use that word loosely) out of jail.

I also think they should legalize prostitution... but, that's another argument entirely... :)

Scotty, marijuana is a narcotic drug that can cause a lot of mental problems.I believe very strongly in the Singapore approach to dealing with this.

Faggots, lesbians, bisexuals,& 'transsexuals' - they're fit only for the Saddam Hussein treatment.

As usual, those who think they know what they are talking about, DON'T.

Marijuana is not a narcotic. It is pharmacologically distinct from the family of opium derivatives and synthetic narcotics.
Marijuana is not addicting. The use does not develop any physical dependence.

Keep talking Aiden, we're listening. :headbang:

Moen,it IS a very addictive drug,& is one that CAN kill! I can't stand the smell of it burning,as it makes me throw up.I wouldn't dare touch the stuff.I wouldn't want to take that crap into my body.

If you want a positive addiction - drink Coca Cola, especially Coke Zero & Pepsi Max!

Once again, you are the victim of your own stupidity. You don't know what you are talking about but speak from inexperience, prejudice, and ignorance. Your overly dramatic and extreme declarations remind me of flamboyant gay men I've met. Are you sure you're not a closet monkey?

    Moen,don't be stupid.I'm not a Hell-bound faggot at all.

This is what you look like; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baboon .That is what Pope John Paul II of Rome also looked like.

You should go & get some bananas, then that way you'd be making a monkey out of yourself.

Good comeback Aiden. Your stupidity is only eclipsed by your wit. As everyone here, and I mean everyone here has concluded, you are about as bright as a small appliance light bulb. Do you ever get tired of people dismissing you outright?

Aiden, you really really don't know what your talking about when it comes to marijuana. I'm sorry. I've studied this subject more than any other political issue. It sounds like your getting your facts DIRECTLY from the propaganda put out by the EXTREME right wing. I hardly ever meet people who beleive that crap anymore, not even rich old republicans. (No offense to rich old republicans-seriously).
There has NEVER been a proven case of death caused by cannabis. NEVER! As opposed to legal drugs:
    Tobacco-400,000 deaths per year
    Alcohol-200,000
    Prescription drugs-10,000 deaths per year
    Aspirin-1,000 deaths per year.
And by the way, those stats are almost ten years old, I'll admit I'm a bit out of date. But those numbers of deaths are actually much higher now, especially the prescription drugs people get from doctors.
    Marijuana-zero documented deaths. EVER.

By the way, I think you only brought back this thread after a week of inactivity, so you can blah blah blah some more about how much you hate faggots, because your really insecure. Seriously, I'm starting to really beleive some of the other members here when they accuse you of being a closet homo. You should learn to be ok with yourself man. Really, don't hate yourself just because you question your own sexuality.

P.S. oh yeah, I can't remember the statistics, but people do die from caffeine too.

Adam, marijuana has been linked to car accidents, especially when idiots mix drink & drugs,& then drive - that's a very dangerous combination. That's been proven to be the case over here in New Zealand.

As far as I'm aware, there isn't any caffeine in LSD.

One of the most lethal drugs that is now far too common over here in New Zealand is crystal methamphetamine (called 'P' over here),which is smoked. The residues from mixing that crap is also very dangerous,as the chemicals that are used in making 'P' can blow up! The gangs are making it in very large quantities, but the penalties for drug possession are so pathetic it makes me sick.

    Aidan.

No one is listening to you, Aiden... once again you don't have the faintest clue what you're talking about.

Adam is correct in everything that he's said, so maybe you'd better listen to him. As far as I'm concerned: LEGALIZE IT!

    Scotty,
    Legalised narcotic drugs = Death!

    Homosexuality,lesbianism,bisexualism,& 'transsexuality' = H.I.V. & Aids = Death = Hell-fire!
