Then its not welfare is it? Its WORKING for a helping hand. Then its not a helping hand. Its pay. And again I ask, how would you force them to work for it?
So, is it that you can't or won't answer the "why shouldn't recipients earn their benefits" question?
I said a helping hand isnt that if you must work for it. You answer a question with a question. Are you running for office? A guy works for 15 years has three kids. Loses his job. Goes on assitance. Now for 15 years he paid taxes to the government. He already 'earned'' the right to those benefits. I ask again; How would you force someone to work for their food stamps? Now you and I wouldnt go on relief. But we have earned the right to do so.
You have quite a way of getting off the subject, don't you? I don't care about defining "helping hand", I simply believe if you take you should expect to give something back. That's it.
It isnt off the subject. But you keep evading my question. Why is that? As I said the make believe guy who lost his job gave and gave into the system. Now he needs some of it back. How do you see that of bilking? I'll ask you again. How would you force someone to work for their relief?
Just make it a prerequisite for receiving the aide. Simple. I sincerely doubt your fictitious guy would object to working in order to earn his assistance...it's what he's been used to, based on your little scenario.
Thats just one guy. But what if someone refuses. Are they denied the assistance? If yes, then what about the children they have? Do they go hungry, because the parents wont work for a benefit that they have already paid for through taxes?
In your single, little example, if the guy isn't willing to earn his benefits then yes, they should stop. If the guy isn't willing to do what he is asked to do to provide for his kids then perhaps he isn't fit to be a parent? But of course, craig, you have gone off on one of your tangents again. If you'll re-read what I posted earlier you'll clearly see my initial concern was for abuse of the system. Generational abuse of the system.
You mean this post? Thats says nothing of generationalabuse. Which post? You avoid my comments about earning his benefits through his income tax.
He is only taking what he has helped pay for. Dont you take advantage of some of the benefits(roads, parks, etc.) that your tax dollars help pay for?
I can't help it that you are unable to comprehend. Terms such as "free ride" "cycle broken" and the piece about my Dad's experience should have tipped you off. Sorry if it wasn't overly specfic enough for you but I think everyone else grasped it without a problem.
Be honest David. You consider a month of WIC coupons a ''free ride''. And your father observing drug use and people having sex does not define multi-generational abuse.
