This is your first response to the question I asked. Does that anywhere answer the question 'Do YOU think welfare is an entitlement?'. It doesnt So then you felt the need to get in a dig like some 15 year old. You didnt have to tell me that some people view welfare as an entitlement. I knew some people did. If I wanted what some people thjought, I wouldve asked I them. Instead of answering the question, you turn into some politician with a on the fence answer. Then when pressed, you get all childish. Dont worry, I leanrned my lesson about asking you any further questions.

Thank God! I won't be wasting any more of my time with your inane observations.

When will you realize that dodging actually burns more time in the long run? Penny wise, pound foolish as they say.

And just to add this, if you ever took this approach of "In my experience" to a real debate, you'd be laughed off the stage.

I knew this guy that used to throw his opinions around as if they were stone cold facts. When anyone challenged his statements, he would always counter with, "It is known!". You remind me of him. From now on when I respond with "It is known" you'll know what I mean. :)

First off, I have no desire or intention of "debating" you based on your rules- things happen in the real world a bit differently than they do in one of your classroom study cases. You should really venture outside the vacuum sometime.
Secondly, it was not an opinion that I offered, it was real experiences I related and I never claimed it to be anything else. You know that, right? Do you understand the difference?
Now, in your vast, self-important past, have you ever seen events in the real world contradict the expected outcome of a study? Ever? Which one would you put the most credence in? Expected data or actual data?

As I have said over and over, I have no classroom since I am not an instructor, not a teacher, and certainly not a professor. I guess it fits nicely into your view of higher education to think so but that doesn't make it so. Really, just your fantasy.

I worked in the private sector far longer than I have worked in academia. I think that qualifies as real experience. What I understand is the difference between anecdotal experiences and data driven information. Your stories are cute, maybe even true, but they certainly are not representative of the entire welfare culture. You simply have no other frame of reference to base your opinion on so you go ahead and generalize your limited local exposure to the rest of the country. You just can't see why you might just be a little biased but I can.

Ha! Once again you have a bit of trouble. I said I won't be asking YOU any further questions. But I am sure you'll answer other questions that are asked. And questions aren't observations. I think I am right on that. But you're the expert on vagueness.

Why does what happens around you be what happens everywhere? When I was stationed in Chrleston, SC, I was wlking back to the base late one night and was jumped by 6 ''African Americans''. They beat the living s..snot out of me. Stabbed in the chest, in the wrist, in the leg, broken jaw, broken nose, three cracked ribs, both lungs collapsed. Spent a month in the hospital. ''Thats the real world man. I was there man. That wasnt no data man. It happened in the outside world.''. So does that mean every black guy in SC is a thieving thug would would surely kill some one over 23 bucks? I doubt it. Just because the same 10 low lifes tried to take advantage of a communities charity, doesnt mean everyone everywhere does the same.

There are just people that can't see beyond their own experiences and prejudices. You might as well be speaking Klingon.

Your method is to post articles written by others and pontificate about them as if the ideas were your own. I will take David's life experiences over your regurgitation of propaganda any day.

That still doesn't mean that David's ''life experiences'' is the meter in which all those on assistance should be gauged.

That's Ok, I was under no illusion that I could alter the Right wing narrative droning through your head anyway. When ideology comes face-to-face with opposing facts, ideology sticks it's finger in it's ears, gets angry, and chants nah-nah-nah-nah-nah....

I see you continue to scream "I know you are, but what am I". You are the puppet OK ENOUGH WITH THE INSULTS. I support issues on both sides of the political spectrum and think for myself. You have the left wing media think for you. Go ahead, continue to deny what you see with your own eyes everyday because it does not mesh with the left wing propaganda that you believe so unconditionally. I could care less if you want to continue to make yourself look like a fool. It is actually quite amusing.
