I am not offended by them. I would expect Native Americans to hold such a view. I would not like to guess at what percentage of them have been lost to war and disease over the last few centuries, a great many I would guess. They also face high levels of discrimination and prejudice I read. Also high levels of unemployment and alcohol abuse.

And why on earth would Native Americans and Blacks not be concerned about the future of their children ? Guns, drugs, crime, black on black crime etc.

I think a lot of people get confused between racism and tribalism. Its natural to put your own group/friends/neighbours/family/race/nation first

 

Why wouldn't any normal human being be concerned for the future of ALL children?

 

We have several problems here FA. Youth violence in general is worrying. Then we have alcohol related violence. Even in my little town we get it. Idiots go out and get bladdered then want to start a fight, not a fair one of course. Its usually some innocent guy going home alone set upon by a bunch of morons

One special constable quite his job recently in my town. He was totally ill equipped to deal with the situation. He had no gun, just a stick to defend himself with. There were several morons, some were trying to stab him with broken bottles.

We also have immigrants entering Britain from war torn area's of the 3rd world. Mostly Africans who readily use knives.

Then we have black drug gangs shooting at each other periodically. We now also get the occasional American style drive by shooting.

Most worrying is the judicial response. These jerks get a life sentence (a joke), they are out in perhaps five years to get on with it. I wish we had the death sentence here.

 

Some people deal with their immediate environment, and whats happening for them, its a narrower viewpoint, but not everyone is a Saint Theresa

 

Shame.. perhaps that's whats wrong with the world.. narrowmindedness and selfishness.

Best accomplished by providing and respecting that for everyone else to the best of your ability also.

What is ok for you to do to another human being is ok for every other human being to do to you ~ wez

People also are mostly concerned with stuff in their own lives. Thats enough of a problem for most people.

Its difficult to financially support everyone elses children, especially those people on the other side of the world

Seems a lot of people are concerned with everyone elses lives/culture but their own to me..

Therin lies another problem.. Money creates nothing in this world humans need to survive and thrive.. Money is only necessary to obtain things from people who wish to hold the necessities of life hostage from others.


Indians didn't need money and would have never needed money. Their way of life was sustainable for as long as the Earth was habitable. They lived in communities of cooperation, not competition. Which is why their way was sustainable, and our way is unsustainable.

Money is the biggest joke/illusion ever created by man to control other men in the history of humanity.

 

This question Wez. I just wondered how you felt about other races saying the same thing.

 

The same way I feel about members of my race saying it.. It's narrowminded and breeds hatred and violence.

Not offensive to me.. Just shallow and stupid. Do races really need to preserve their race by stepping on and seperating from others? All we are in the world are individual human beings, no matter the skin pigment and bone structure one contains.
