Thanks old salt. How about this. its Oriental, dont bother overly with the visual image. Concentrate on the music. its beautiful: YouTube - icceness's Channel
And I love this, though I've heard better renditions before. It may mean little to folks over the pond, but there was hardly a family that did not loose menfolk at the Battle of Culloden, the last pitched battle on British soil. This is what the tune commemorates. It is a lament for the dead : [ame= - The Flowers of the Forest[/ame]
It was nice, uplifting but I don't know that I'd call it beautiful. I like a little bit of everything (even rap) but a lot of nothing. I was even into Gregorian Chant for a while.
Yes I've heard better renditions, but there's nothing wrong with the tune. How about this one. Its a tune for depressives. I love it. I want something from you, please post. Give me something that touched your soul. Something that made you want to write : [ame= - Oasis - Wonderwall[/ame]
I liked this shiek.. you should post the lyrics with it.. Good song. I liked the color in the guitars.. to me it means they find happiness in the music they make with them to break up the colorless life that is depression.. Cool vid. Kinda reminds me of the lone color in Shindlers list.. The little girl with the red coat, then the red coat on the wagon of corpses.. Powerful. I really found these two vids powerful, and really like both songs.. They touch my soul for sure, as do many others.. They're both on the lyrics post but I'll put them here for you.. What it's like Everlast [ame= - EverLast[/ame] I assume these people in the vid he sings about committed suicide.. the scenes of drowning in the water.. Cept for Max, who pulled out his colt 45, talked some **** and wound up dead, but is "alive" at the end of the vid.. Fine again Seether [ame= - Seether-Fine Again[/ame] Love the signs people are holding revealing their "secrets".
You don't bring me anything but down Sheryl Crow [ame= - Sheryl Crow - Anything But Down: Revised[/ame] This one I posted yesterday hits me between the eyes as well.. if you get the "no longer available" message, just click on it a couple times and open the you tube link.. works there.
No lyrics.. sheer music.. Good stuff Manhatten Eric Johnson [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL8aeeSTthQ[/ame] Camels night out Eric johnson [ame= - eric Johnson - Camel's Night Out (live 1997)[/ame]
Chitlins Con Carne Stevie Ray Tribute band I was looking for Stevie Rays version, but only found imposters..These guys had positive comments.. worth a look. [ame= - Chitlins con carne[/ame]
Didn't see it there but a goldmine of great Stevie.. Gonna post one my favs on the lyrics post. Thanks for the great link.. That tribute band did a pretty nice job though!
Its an oldie. but what a goldie- Take it away Earl Scruggs : [ame= - Foggy Mountain Breakdown Music Video[/ame]
Some more guitar mania.. love it! For the love of God Steve Vai [ame= - Steve Vai - "For The Love Of God"[/ame] Hahahaha.. just listened to this on an old muffled cassette.. At the end he says... "walking a fine line between Pagen and Christian".. Can't wait for it to load. Unreal playing. Bad Horsey Steve Vai [ame= - Steve Vai - "Bad Horsie"[/ame]
For those who didn't know, the only instrument in this song is a stand up bass Billy Joel - The longest Time [ame=""]YouTube - Billy Joel-The Longest Time[/ame] Click on the title to watch video from youtube directly.
In the Everlast song, nobody commits suicide. The first guy, if he dies, it's because he's poor and homeless. The second person doesn't die, the decision is about wether or not to murder her baby and have an abortion. The third person died cause he was trying to be a bad ass.
