So, are you saying that you don't mind indefinite detention? And just when did you not care what the ACLU says?

    EXACTLY my point !!!!!
You voted for Kerry !!!! Why is it that only Republicans can be rich and out of touch and tax evaders? This is a perfect example of the lefts moving scale of righteous indignance.....Kerry can have foreign accounts, dodge his taxes ( remember the yacht docked in Conneticut to avoid Massachusetts taxes" etc etc etc.
Mr Nation, you have made it perfectly clear that your values, morals and ethics change according to the letter next to a persons name.
    Thank You.

You were fooled by Bush. Kerry or even Gore are both unknowns since they were never president. You have been proven to be a fool. I haven't in either case. You really don't have a leg to stand on in this case.

    Bush and Kerry.

    I voted Independent.

Didn't trust either one of them.

The irony of a statement like that is that you, yourself, were fooled by Obama and, thus, proven to be a fool. It's OK, though... you didn't know any better. There were multitudes inflicted with OBAMA DERANGEMENT SYNDROME in 2008 who now wish they'd never heard his name... so don't feel too bad.

You make the wild assumption that I believe as you do...which of course I don't. Obama has done many, many things I approve of in his three and half years. I'm sure there are a few things that I'd rather have had him do differently but for the most part I'm happy with him and the fact that you aren't only increases how much I admire him. Can you say the same about Bush fool?

The only thing you're unhappy with Obama about is the fact that he wasn't quite liberal enough for you. You would have preferred he be ultra-ultra-liberal. So, if I don't like asparagus either, does that mean that you'll like it even more? LOL...!

I honestly don't know why you don't like Bush. Was he too liberal for you? Too conservative perhaps? He invaded Iraq (based upon flawed information, I might add); Obama invaded Libya. So that's a wash. Did you expect (or not want) Bush to invade Afghanistan after 9/11? Bush opened Gitmo to detainees; Obama has failed to close it (a broken promise, BTW). So that's a wash, too. Well, actually more in Bush's favor, but I won't go there.

Bush presided over a very prosperous era in our country, well, that is until several factors from the Clinton Administration finally caught up to us such as: The repeal of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the signing of the Commodity Futures Modernization Act and the rewriting of the Community Reinvestment Act which ultimately was a major contributing factor to our economic collapse in 2008. Thanks, Bill Clinton. We owe you for that.

Bush began the policy of extraordinary rendition (a bad thing?) which Obama has not only continued, but expanded. Bush passed the controversial Patriot Act which Obama has continued.

These are unusual times we live in. Most people would see no difference in the way Bush reacted to 9/11 than the way FDR reacted to Pearl Harbor. And Bush didn't send citizens to concentration camps like FDR did with Japanese-Americans. And I don't think there's any way in hell Bush would ever have passed anything as oppressive, anti-American or unconstitutional as the NDAA.

And please don't even get me started on Obamacare. It's entire premise was ruled unconstitutional (except as a tax, YES - AS A TAX)! Well, isn't that just lovely? We had this crap legislation shoved down our throats and promised by the likes of Pelosi and Reid that our taxes wouldn't increase. Well, guess again.

So, why don't you pull your head out of whatever liberal, elitist hole you have it stuck in, open your eyes, look around and begin to realize what's going on around you?

Unlike you, I can honestly say that I don't give a rat's ass how much you admire Obama. It can't increase or decrease how little I admire him. He's at the bottom of the barrel of presidents as far as I'm concerned. I even like Jimmy Carter better than Obama, but that's not saying much.

    Carry on, kiddie.

So you were happy with Bush/Cheney? You paint the Bush/Cheney years the same way you RWer's painted the Reagan years. In other words, you see only what you want to see. Reagan was among the worst presidents ever. The RWer's simply ignored all the times he raised taxes, all the times he sold arms for hostages to Iran, all the times he illegally supported the Contras in spite of a law specifically passed to prevent him from doing it, and you raised one brain-dead idiot to Right-wing God status. You had no choice because Nixon was a straight up criminal, Ford pardoned a straight up criminal, and if Reagan went down and just one more Right-wing criminal, it would have ended the GOP for decades so you created a myth about Reagan that is completely contrary to the facts and you idiots worship it.

I don't need your assessment of my politics. It's like taking parenting advice from John Wayne Gacy and Casey Anthony. The only reason Republican politicians exist is to line their own pockets and the pockets of their wealthy friends. The idea of public serive and good government doesn't even enter into their minds and you support these self-serving plutocrats. You, like any old tool, can be a useful idiot because you drink so much Right-wing Kool Aid that you become stupid drunk.

So you can't stand Reagan and I can't stand Obama. Surprise, surprise! See you in the detention camps, ignoramus.

Hmmm....let's see....the President who presided over one of the greatest economic times in our history or the one who is presiding over the worst?
I think I'll take Reagan too!

Not only that, but Reagan could never be considered an anti-constitutional socialist. The same cannot be said for Obama.

I think liberals are just too dumb to realize that Trickle-Down Economics works. When is the last time a poor person hired anyone? Obama thinks the economy will grow from the bottom up. But, he's too stupid to realize that the poor don't invest; the rich do. Reagan took us out of the liberal, Carter-era economic morass into one of the most prosperous times in modern history via Trickle-Down. Get with the program you idiotic, stupid, ignorant liberals.

It's time we elected a businessman in November who understands how economics works. Four years of a "community organizer" who doesn't understand the economy is enough. We've had plenty of Obama's social experiment which has turned out to be an utter, complete failure. It's time the country moved on.
