You never once speak of the death and misery this war is causing like it is so acceptable if we just throw more young soldiers at an impossible situation. You pretend to suppot the troops but you couldn't reek of hypocrisy more. This isn't a defensive war at all, we are the aggressors here but it makes you feel better to turn the truth around. You don't care how many military families children have to grow up without a father or a mother as long as you can fight your war of machoism. I think you thrive on war which is exactly opposite of what a good soldier is taught. You only paid attention to the cool guns and the super cool bombs that equip our military and gives the true believers something to wack-off to at night. And on top of all this you pretend to be a good Christian. You are nothing more than a joke and you are too damn dumb to realize it.
By God man, we're at WAR. People die in wars. Your gasoline is nearing $4.00 a gallon because of the WAR. A WAR which is global. Yes, it's a reality... Can't that get thru thru that 2" thick skull you seem to possess? Meon, your about my age, just a couple of years older. Now we both don't remember what it was like in Korea or WWII with those horrendous deaths, but I remember the news reports which gave the daily casualty numbers from the fighting in VietNam and it didn't sink in until I'd grown up. These boys were simply fighting because they were told to do so. They were fighting in the interest of the United States of America. "Mine not to question why..." You must realize I'm a Patriot, to the bone and back, every ounce of my being would defend my country from any threat, period. You know, I was damn proud of my cousin who came back from South East Asia in 72. He didn't see any real fighting but he was there, he was in the Navy. Now, he's dead-set against the fighting in Iraq, but he also realizes the whole middle east is a powder keg and SOMEONE has to be there to quell the unrest because if the USA leaves the you can write off any sort of peace. KABOOM... Sadly, the USA is the ONLY superpower who can complete this mission, but it will be painful to everyone, especially those who've lost family members. I'm not happy with the people who are in office, (the top two can go to hell as far as I'm concerned for their simple abuse and indifference to those citizens who must follow their directives. I don't see any of those families in the fray), but as an American it's my duty to support the final decisions made by our elected Presidents, Congressmen and Congresswomen, and Representatives. Dude, the devil we face doesn't live in Crawford Texas, the Devil is in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, etc.
I may not relate to it but I understand your passion and determination to do as you feel is correct. I am equally passionate that we are on a fool's mission and I see nothing but waste where there should be progress. Certainly there are some bad guys out there and they should be hunted down and killed or captured as soon as possible. Invading a country the size of Texas without any provocation isn't the solution and has exacerbated the problem 10 fold. Going after Al Qaeda in Iraq has become a self-fulfilling prophecy and now serves as the orginal justification for the war. How wag the dog is that? This misery and death has already eclipsed the entire WWII operation time scale and still there is little progress that you or anyone else can point to. Do we just keep doing the same stupid thing while the enemy grows bolder and learns our tactics? We are simply making a mistake by being there and we need to step back and rethink our entire approach. If there is something wrong with that, I just don't see it.
Are gas prices rising because we are at war, or are we at war to make gas prices rise??? You should at least question who our brave soldiers are fighting for. George W?? The interests of our government are not the same as the interest of our people and this great country we live in.
