Want a good debate on censorship

We have discussed it many times, and I am not interested in going there again.


What do you think "is the same reason why anyone censors anyone and the manner of which is conducted in the exact same way"?

 

Then post our discussion. Saying it will never make it come true.

We'll get to that as soon as you tell why you did what you did and provide a specific example of what I said and how that made you feel the need to censor me.

 

Then I guess I am done with you in this post.

This post is about censorship, you censored me. Why? You also claim it was for the good of others, yet, you cannot provide one example?

How about we talk about why Jesus was censored. You go to church... Share your knowledge. Why was Jesus censored/murdered/silenced? Yet He still speaks to people 2000 years later..

If you have a problem with something that happened on another forum, then handle it on that forum, not this one. If you want to "have it out" with eddo because he was involved, fine, take it to private messages but it does not belong on the open forum of "this forum".


You have sore feelings for what you felt was done to you by eddo, I can understand how that makes you feel but you don't let that battle spill out into the streets of any forum you can take the time to post it in.


If you have a problem with an employee at wal-mart, you don't attack them if you see them at Target, there is a time and place for everything, and this is not the place for your grievance.


I am a moderator on a couple forums and sometimes censorship is needed to keep the peace, sometimes people push the limits, they get outlandish just to either start trouble or to get attention and that kind of thing must be discouraged. I have only known you a short time but I will venture to say that you are an attention seeking type that sometimes needs a little nudge from staff to keep you from getting completely out of control.

But that is just my first impression.



Now, on censorship, I can see very limited reasons for justified censorship by the government, for example, I would see a good reason to stop state secrets from being exposed or screaming out bomb in crouded places, but as the Imus example shows, people can say what they want but must face civil reactions to that speech if it causes harm to others.


Free speach is not intended to give people freedom from civil reactions, only to give you the right to express yourself without the Government imposing penalties.


I do not know of any laws governing cartoons and forcing them to be removed from play so we need some information to continue talking about that.

 

That is because you are a control freak and can't limit it to yourself. This topic is about censorship, that is what I am talking about. I have no problem with eddo, matter of fact, quite the opposite. When you see me address eddo, don't let it concern yourself. I wasn't talking to you and I don't give a flying f*uck what you think you need to do beyond doing it to yourself. Eddo is a big boy, and so am I..


And if you think censorship keeps the peace on a forum or anywhere, you aint too bright. I thought you were an American?

If you want to keep the discussion private, then talk in private messages, if you post it in the public forum, then the public can discuss it. I would have thought you could understand that by now.

You can always take it to pm's as eddo attempted if you want to make it private, if not, I will continue to insert my opinions on a public discussion.



You are crying about something that happened on another forum, not this forum. I am sure that forum had rules that are completely different than the rules here as is the couple forums I am a mod on so that is why it is not relivant here.


If you behaved there as you are behaving now, I can understand why you were censored,



By the way, as eddo was trying to help you understand, private forums are not comparable to government censoring, it is apples and oranges.

Wez, please take the time to figure out what you want to say "before" you hit the submit button. It is frustrating to answer your post just to see you have changed it several times while I was writing. You can preview your posts and read them through to be sure you included everything you wanted to say "before" you post it.

That will make your posting experience easier and will create less confusion for everyone else.

What does one do in the case of a "lead" moderator actually accusing the censored of doing what they themselves actually do to the censored, and accuse them of what they themselves, are?

Then, they go from forum to to forum trying to tell other moderators and owners what and who is right for their forum with the convient opinion that "what happens on one forum shouldn't be discussed on another" defense, all the while knowing the forum it supposedly belongs on, is inaccessable to the censored. Bet you used that one yourself, eh, slick?

Before long, you don't ever have to deal with someone you disagree with again and you'll know all is well in your head as everyone around you validates your beliefs for you.. That's what control freaks do..

Talk to an admin. Just like when you have the problem with a wal-mart employee, you talk to their manager, you don't chase them all over town and attack them in Target like a 5 year old.

First of all, if you are chasing eddo around to attack him for what happened on another forum, you are in the wrong, you go to the admin for help with a moderator, not show your behind on other forums to complain.

Again, forums are privately owned and run by people, not governments and do not need to conform to censorship laws set by the federal government that cover their offices.

If you earned the negative attention of a moderator, then again, you "earned" that attention, maybe you should take what you earned like a man and stop acting like a 5 year old.


Again, take more time to post what you want to say if you want me to respond, your constant editing of your posts can be avoided if your adult enough to slow down and be sure of what you want to say "before" you say it.

Wrong again (as usual) you are complaining about actions from him under his job as a moderator for a forum, not a private act outside his responsibilities so clearly your only "reasonable" course of action is to take it to his supervisor, in this case a forum admin, not chase him around to other forums acting like a spoiled child.

Hypocrite control freaks most universally preferred and most effective tactic is secrecy, isolation of their victim. It stays behind closed doors is the unwritten rule of every hypocrite, control freak the world over. They know how to make people shut up and will use anything at their disposal up to and including murder to accomplish this depending on the degree and progression of their sickness. Stay alert boys and girls!!!


Divide and conquer is their motto, often seperating their targets from everyone but themselves and themselves from their past to insulate themselves from guilt. Guilt is always replaced with anger, often directed again at their target for whom they feel guilty for in the first place. You can often hear them cry "I hate that you made me hit you", and "you're living in the past", all the while that is all a hypocrite control freak does is live in the past because they are haunted by it and run in a frenzy of self denial and project it upon anyone they possibly can in a desperate attempt to gain piece of mind. They judge, label, and look down on you for being what they are and want to punish you for it, thereby, punish themselves.


The saddest part, they are truly blind to their actions and are in constant pain. They abuse, because they were abused and eventually become what they hate until they deal with the pain and find forgivness, which usually occurs after death. People outside their control are always threatening to them, so what better way to handle that than exert a little friendly reinforcment. Guilt trips as well as phrases like "we all think this about you" and "so and so agrees with me", and "you should do this" and "you should do that if you want to please me and keep me happy because you know what happens if you don't. I'll turn red and get angry in your face and let you know I'll escalate it til I get my way so you might as well just do what I say and think what I tell you to think and speak what I allow you to speak"... It's all quite sad and twisted..

I may be young sir, but I am far from blind. I've lived more life that alot of people two or three times my age. I never claimed to be a master debater, but I can spot somebody who's not very good at it. Try completing a thought. You jump around alot and have little or no direction, other than to completely make yourself look like an ass. I am not a harvard trained debater and you're way past being taught. You completely skipped most of my post.

You can't stand to be wrong, and you can't stand for anyone to have a different opinion. If someone does, you attack or harass them until they give in to your opinion. That's not debating, that's trolling or spamming. Bottom line.
