Of course, you aren't supposed to forget history. But look, regardless of hundreds or thousands or millions it is, death is still death. You aren't suppose to even let a single person die if you can do it. Why bother talk about tens of thosands, if not hundreds of thousands when you can't even save a single one. That is a hopeless situation.

Hmm.. you know when my reserve unit was in Europe as part of a military exercise in the mid-eighties, one of our tanks was responsible for the death of a German cow. It was all accidental mind you, but the government as is the custom, had to pay for the cow, it's unborn offspring, and damages to the farmer, I believe it was $17,500.00. all told.

I just find it hard to believe that human lives appear to be so irrelevent.

I don't care about the people of Iraq. I care about the security and welfare of the United States and its legal residents.

Thank means taking the fight to our enemies instead of waiting for them to attack us again. Yes, they will attack again and thank God our fighters are 10 minutes from those animals instead of 10 days. I look at Iraq as a base of operation no differant than establishing a base on a mountain top as you look down upon the enemy. That is why all of the islamic terrorists are doing everything possible to break our will because they know that if the idea of freedom, liberty, free elections, and woman's rights catches on, they will lose power. Imagine that? Islamic people joining the 21st century instead of living in the middle ages.

These animals want to live like their ancestors lived 1000 years ago and I always believed that if you see somebody cocking their arm to throw a punch, you punch first!

So...I care about the people of Iraq as much as the US population cared about the people of Japan and Germany back in World War II. Yes, this is a World War people and at least we had the guts to establish the front lines for this war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

You have to remember, we were NOT in Iraq or Afghanistan before 9/11 and we were still attacked. Go ahead...you want to pull the troops out of Iraq and I promise you, that will NOT reduce any future terrorist attacks. Fact of the matter, they will increase as the lines of this war will move to our soil. Is that what you want?

Am I happy the way we are fighting the war? Absolutely not!! We are fighting too nice!! I would have bulldozed and leveled the entire Sunni triangle and other terrorist city hotbeds. A bunch of Biblical fireballs would have done the job as I would have dusted off my hands and stated, "OK...let's start over..."

In other words, I would have my G.I.'s shoot first then ask questions later. After all, it is the only thing islamic terrorist understand which is fight fire with fire. They should be happy...after all, they will then get to see allah faster.

Actually some of the German communities around the USA military bases will miss having USA troops deployed there for this reason, they made good money in their local economies from having USA soldiers there. Americans tend to be big spenders, even when they make a "Hamburger" out of cow.

Midas it is an unfortunate reality that the two are directly reliant on eachother.

I've seen people slaughtered in unimaginable ways. Have you ever seen children lined up one by one, had explosives placed in their pockets, and then blown up one by one? Well, I have seen footage of this. I am truly aware of the suffering that is being endured there, as I have seen it.

actually, the number is 400 billion. Not 400 trillion. 4,000,000 time 100k=400,000,000,000 400 billion. You know all about statistics, yet can't multiply?

I think it is a real shame that some innocent people die, and there is really nothing you can do to make up for it. No amount of money, or apologies can replace a life. I simply wish people would get along. : (

(BTW you are completely wrong) JHU is a liberal university and I wouldn't believe a word they say. The liberals are always rolling out false statistics and it's sad the amount of folks that believe them.
