This thread has been fun, but it's starting to transition into kind of a bore. I don't think that there is much more to glean from you guys. Thanks for running the maze. Push the little lever for a treat now.

As I think I have said before, it is not the federal government's job to build infrastructure. I consider that the state governments job.

But when the feds take 135 billion out of a state whose annual budget is 1/4th that amount, they have successfully made the state an indentured servant dependent upon the master to pay for the state's infrastructure and its citizen's needs in a time of disaster.

But the state only gets money for that disaster if the master says its ok for them to get the money and only if the state spends it on what the master tells them that they can spend it on.

I don't think any right wingers who suffered these losses should be reimbursed for their losses, because, according to the GOP, "we're broke", and we can't afford to keep spending, AND we need tax cuts for the wealthiest of the wealthy. The right should completely understand why accepting "handouts from the fed" equates to socialism, and I think they should band together and REFUSE any such handouts. Why should we taxpayers, pay for their poor judgment with either no insurance, or their dangerous behavior (that is living in a tornado prone area). Not our fault. We need to cut, cut, cut!!!!
I finally see the light and now agree with republicans. They're correct here. We have enough dreggs in society to support. Cut! Slash!
Let the weak and those in \unfortunate circumstances, pull themselves up by their bootstraps, and suck it up. Quit looking for handouts.

Do you live in one of those Handout states or do you live in one of the Hands Up! states?

My state could pay off its entire state debt in 4 years with the money the Federal Government takes from it and doesn't return to this state.

Illegals are drinking up the resources of my state. Not their fault for it is our government that is giving away free schooling, free breakfast, free lunch, free afterschool, free afterschool snacks, free food stamps, free welfare, free housing, free medical, free higher education, free art programs, etc..........But lets face it if I was poor in a third world nation I would run, swim, or walk on my hands to come here and get all that. Its not their fault for taking what is being given. It is ours for giving away more then we can afford.
    State is Florida
