Video of the unedited briefing attached. By far, one if the tamest and measured speeches he's given. I feel like it's too little too late, but I will give him credit for FINALLY endorsing masks and talking about the effectiveness of social distancing and personally wanting more than 6 feet of distance. He very nearly made it through without controversy, but then a reporter asked about Ghislaine Maxwell... The right answer was not "I met her numerous times" and wishing her well (start at 20:00 in the video). While I can applaud the honesty since the usual response he gives is "I barely know that person, never met them" I feel like you don't wish someone almost certainly involved heavily in child sex trafficking well. So what did you all take away from this briefing?
Haha not this time so far as I saw. Interestingly though, this move seems to have alienated some of the "never mask" people. Some people hear what they want to hear, but to be fair they're also anti-vaxxers, who I'm still optimistic are a loud minority
Today's conference was... less good. The first 1/3 of it can be summed up in the following: "We have to cancel the in-person convention this year, people we're begging me to hold it, but I had to say no. It's too dangerous. With that being said, we must send all of your children to school in person"
