Troop Pull-out in Iraq

The Koran is their fuel, and the Imans are the spark.
Saudi's flag has had the flag of Jihad in it for as long as I have seen it.
We just had a few people pushing a policy who never read the koran themselves and knew nothing with what they were dealing with.
Now to blame the US for this maddness as a way to attack Reagan as a way to attack the republician party is off base at best but I realize that this must be the leftist proganda machine at work which you are exposed to, Islam is good, Republicans are bad-theme.

 

If the United States was the "Great Satan" as so many around the world are fond of saying, we would have no oil problems today. We could have cut a deal with the Soviet Union to divide up the Middle East 40 years ago. Who could have stopped us? The French? Saudia Arabia? Iran?

No, we pay $50/barrel for a commodity that the Saudis take from the ground for $4/barrel using western technology and expertise. If there were ever any fat losers available on the planet to steal lunches from, it's the Suadis and their friends. They should praise Allah every day that the United States has been so generous and benevolent.

I dare say that if the roles were reversed, and Muslims of the world had enormous military power, the western world would have been sold into slavery decades ago. Power without conscience, now that's how you get things done. The world is very lucky indeed that the United States is top dog.

 

The USA is not top dog when they are paying $60 for oil, they have a huge trade deficit with China, and they have huge budget deficit. All the USA has now is military power, and unless something changes quickly, that too will be eclipsed by China.

 

If not the United States, which country is the "top dog"? There is more to economics than a trade deficit. China is walking a tight rope. They sell us many billions of dollars worth of non-essential stuff. Who needs whom? I think you tend to over-estimate the economic prowless of the PRC.


Ten million men at arms, with AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenades. Sounds like an especially rich target-environment to me. OK, lets assume China develops a massive, unstoppable, military machine. Who is at risk? Would it be Russia, India, or the United States? I think our biggest potential problem with the Chinese propensity for aggression might be large clouds of Chinese and Russian radioactive dust particles. Be sure to purchase some iodine tablets, the jet stream blows from west to east.

The economy of Europe is more worthy of your concern.

 

Ok I am going to give you a little flag waving from the left. The USA really are the top dogs. Much if not most innovation comes from her golden shores. The greatest and most horrible ideas, inventions, and innovations originate here, we are amazing if you look at it from an objective POV. If we were a brutal and warlike people we could dominate the world and create an empire (but we all know that that can not end well).
I really pray that we resist the urge toward empire.
