Troop Pull-out in Iraq

With all the preasure from the world governments, I think we will see an accelerated increase in coalition troop pull-outs in Iraq. Do you feel that the Iraqi military/police can take on the insurgents alone and somehow control all the disorder across the entire country? Dou you think the insurgents will consider a troop pull-out a victory and step-up actions to take over the current Iraqi government and gain control of the country?

 

there is no good answer to the problem W has caused. This can not end well.

i think some of the "freedom fighters" will put down thier arms(guns. not actual arms ) once the red devil has left.

but i think the majority of these "freedom fighters" are just opportunistic crim'animals that are fighting just to better themselves.

 

If the troops pull out then the Iraqi Millitery and Police will revert back to type (They had it all worked out under Sadam) as they will not have us watching & Guiding them in the Humane tratment of suspects & or Terrorists.
I believe that there will be a quiet bloodbath until I new strongman emerges might be a cleric or politician I dont know but belive this will happen.

Thing about countries like Iraq, they will be chaos no matter who is running the show. None of the countries around Iraq want a democracy right next door, so you can bet they are doing all they can to thwart such plans. Even Turkey has interfered in what is going on there, because of the rise in power of the Kurds and the fear that something similar could happen in Turkey.

Syria has let it's border be porous for terrorists and arms, so has Iran. About the only nation bordering Iraq not actively infiltrating is Kuwait, and if they could, they would too.

Go ahead and be anti-Bush, anti-War and anti-whatever. You are just following the left playbook because they don't have a plan to deal with islamic terrorists. If you call "reaching out to them" a plan, well then you are in for a surprise. After all, Russia reached out and was against the Iraqi war and still lost hundreds of children (I'll say again...children) due to the hands of the "religion of peace".

Being on the left must be easy. You believe that government is the answer over the indivdual and with that, you can fix the world's problems with more of other people's hard-earned dollars. It' like going to the mall and wanting something you can't pay for...no problem, we'll just let somebody else (the revenue generating rich) pay for it.

You really haven't demonstrated ANY commitment to fight and defend this country. Think about it...when was the last "left" president tough on defense? What do you do? You run off to Canada and/or become "anti-this" and "anti-that". When asked what is YOUR plan to deal with our country's enemies, you defer to the United Nations and put their interest ahead of the United States.

Bottom line, the left has no backbone to defend this country from an enemy that wishes us death and destruction. Do you fight them there or here?

Where were you back then!?! if this has been "going on before you were born" why did you not protest training these guys to blow up buildings in the eighties!! There is no conspiracy about my assertion that we trained Osama, it is an undisputed fact. Are you saying that we did not train these wacko Muslims? I do not understand why you are using the word conspiracy.

Another reason why I am not a Bush fan. No one should take shots at American troops and feel that they can get away with it.

 

Danr, the more conservative elements were against training and arming the Taliban. I really think that the reason we might lose the war against terrorism and Islam is one we have alot of people on their payroll and two we have to many people who make these things into political issues and will do their best to undermine any effort to fight if the effort is not coming from their "party".

I would respect your post if you went the other way and state, why didn't we invade, yes invade, Saudi Arabia and take out Iran since they are supporting with money and arms the majority of the terrorists, never mind the amount of actual Saudi's present at 911.

do you explain 911 with all the saudi involvement. The United States military protected them from Iraq and shielded them from Iran. And Bones could answer this but are not our bases isolated from the Saudi's so we really can be out of sight and out of mind if the Saudi's wish.
