  1. Peeps.

They're all over, you can't get away from them.

Yellow ones, green ones, purple ones.

And they have all kinds of fellow travelers; bunnies and so on.

I'm going into the peep shelter. Let me know when they're gone.

Hmf, for the first time since last night I see there might be an upside to
the present 12-degree, two-inch-of-snow, gusty weather we're having.

    Frozen peeps!

Jack-knifed tractor-trailers full of frozen peeps flaming on the frozen
    highways!

    Muahahahaha!

No, the sun's out, the temperature is in the 40s, the snow is melting and
    the ground is pudding.

    THE PEEPS ARE WINNING

Come to think of it, marshmallows must fruit pretty damned early, mustn't
they? are they a Winter crop? or are the peeps made from last Fall's
harvest? (that would explain their usually less than prime
    marshmallowiness.)
