Have it your way. I tried to give you a chance to show yourself to be an honorable person who brings reliable facts to the discussions here. You've apparently rejected this opportunity, preferring to fling lame insults.

 

What facts are you looking for? What's your point? How can I seriously discuss a non-discussion?

Joe does this all the time and it really gets old. He cut/pastes some arbitrary article or video clip, makes no comment one way or another, and expects the rest of us to explain it to him. It seems like you're cut from the same cloth.

 

You alleged that Sibrel is "another Liberal 'Michael Moore' wannabe." I asked for evidence which supports this allegation. It's very simple and clear.

I had an honest question, and instead of an honest answer, I get insults.

 

I would be happy to back up my opinions if you cared to share yours. In other words, how do you characterize his actions and motives?

Btw, what would characterize as an "insult"? You're just "insulted" that I don't care to explain myself without participation in the discussion by you.

 

I stated exactly what I meant in both the title and the OP. Then "people responded to my post" and I think I summed all that up pretty well.
What hasn't been explained is your response to my post. Still trying to figure out where you are coming from. I think I laid that out pretty well already.
Maybe instead of asking me to explain a rather obvious thread, you could actually start explaining your responses to it. They are really lacking to this point.

I honestly don't know for a fact what Sibrel's political orientation is, and I've never said that I did. However, the evidence of his column for The Sleuth Journal leads me to deduce that he's a conspiracy theorist who thrives on the "it's the End Times, and FEMA's gonna put us all in concentration camps" hysteria which characterizes a certain element of the far right wing in the United States. He apparently believes that the USSR and China conspired with the United States to create a gigantic hoax (the Apollo program and its multiple visits to the Moon), and that Russia and China are still in cahoots with the government of the United States, cooking up a "New World Order" which will enslave all of humanity. This absurd overblown fear of the government is not generally considered a characteristic of liberals. On the other hand, it's common knowledge that there are those on the extreme right in the United States who literally believe the sort of nonsense that Sibrel spews out in his column.

I have presented the evidence behind my deduction regarding Sibrel's political orientation. Anybody is welcome to take a look at it and make up their own mind.

That's your characterization of me. I can speak for myself: I'm not insulted by your use of epithets completely unsupported by evidence. I'm not insulted by what appears to be a blatant attempt to elicit outrage. In responding to my posts in this thread you have used insult in the place of actual evidence and reason, however, and there's no reason why I should ignore that.

Don't you enjoy it when journalists confront anyone for any reason no matter how whacky their notions are? Well, of course you do. Just admit it, Sibrel is your hero. You probably don't think man landed on the moon anyway (another one of your conspiracy theories).

 

Is there an actual reason you find yourself attributing clearly Right-winger behaviors to people on the Left? Is distorting reality the only way you can deflect your own political allies behaviors? Try and remember that I was the one who called Aldrin a hero and Sibrel pond scum. I can't actually figure out which thread you are reading but it certainly isn't this one. If it turns out that you are reading this one, you might want to kick back on the pain meds a little. Hallucinating seems to explain your comments fairly well.

Joe, the title was "This is no way to treat a national hero" and everyone agrees. As far as the OP is concerned, you just posted the video...no comment or opinion. What do you expect from us?

I don't know how he votes, but he certainly acts like a Liberal. He displays all the character flaws of a Liberal, therefore (imo) he's a Liberal.

Could there be some insane people on the Right that believe what he says? ...sure, but that doesn't make HIM a Conservative. The fact that he sensationalizes nonsense, like Michael Moore, makes him a Michael Moore wannabe (again, imo).
