Well, not a bad idea, but who's going to approach him about it? I agree about Hogfather's Death though. -- Growing up leads to growing old, and then to dying/And dying to me don't sound like all that much fun.
Christopher Lee originally died hundreds of years ago, and is only walking the earth now because of all that human blood.

I don't and I will reserve comment about Christoper Lee until after I have seen the programme, because I'm hoping it was somebody else's voice in the 'Tourist Guides to Discworld' short promos. -- Reader in Invisible Writings.. Something to Ponder upon!

Ian Richardson was 'the bloke', and IMNSHO did an *excellent* job as the voice of Death. While I agree Christopher Lee will be just as good if not better, I totally disagree that Ian Richardson was badly cast. Kind regards, Julian

It would certainly be intriguing if the Voice Of Death were indeed someone who had predeceased a production[1]. Though it would, of course, need to be handled carefully and/or with advanced planning given the decisions to edit in/out various quotes (or even partial quotes), and other directorial decisions such as the pace and intensity of the dialogue to fit into the future interpretations. Big task, or maybe trust a decent sound engineer to do the manipulation without messing it up, getting a few stock phrases and sentence fragments pre-recorded ready for bundling into new dialogue. (If not do the entire audio component of the virtual actor construction, with phonemes.) Also, I quite warmed to Ian Richardson and thought he did a good job, though I have still have my original (and now paradoxical) surety that the Cosgrove Hall appearance was /the/ definitive one, so won't argue with your sentiment either... (BTW, nice to see that you're staving off Death by keeping as far away from capital letters s you can. [1] Numerous "from the grave" cameos spring to mind, such as Richard Burton and Lawrence Olivier to name just two.
