Magic Mushrooms Oooh those are dangerous. You're right that OldDan shouldn't be acting like alcohol is a good thing. He may want to destroy his body but he shouldn't try to get us to. Btw, according to a recent study, alcohol accounts for the deaths of thousands of college seniors every year. Mostly due to drunk driving(and people who drink and drive should be charged with attempted murder).
craig, as a cousin to a heavy user of cocaine, He doesn't over dose or anything stupid he uses it for his knee, he broke a few ligaments playing soccer, and the like. He could stop at any time. Another person i know who we'll call "Tom" uses cocaine as a rec. drug. He isn't addicted either. its all in the mindset. I have experimented with low doses of Ketamine when i fractured my wrist at karate championships (1st place jr. black belt kumite). It honestly helped out. I asked my doctor and he said that it wasn't the worst idea for treatments. It kinda made me feel sick though. www.dancesafe.org/documents/druginfo/ketamine.php
I'm not against using drugs to help sick people. On the battlefield, soldiers who are wounded are often given morphine to help dull the pain, and thats of course okay. As for your cousin, whenever I hear someone say, "I could stop whenever I wanted to." its a red flag. Using so called 'rec' drugs is very dangerous. As for your karate injury, if it made you feel sick I don't know why your doctor said it was okay. According to your link: BE CAREFUL. While low doses of Ketamine can increase heart-rate, at higher doses it depresses consciousness and breathing and is extremely dangerous to combine with downers like alcohol, Valium or GHB. Frequent use can cause disruptions in consciousness and lead to neuroses or other mental disorders. Ketamine can cause a tremendous psychological dependence. The dissociation from one's consciousness experienced with ketamine can be highly seductive to some people, and there are many cases of ketamine addiction. Ketamine is illegal and possession can result in long prison terms. Sounds nice, doesn't it? ...Not. It's not all in the mindset, drugs like this are very addictive; just like cigarettes or alcohol. Julez the boy is right you know, your body builds up a tolarance so slowly you have to take a larger dose to optain the same rush that you got the 1st time round and by the way there is no such thing as recreational use of drugs. Even medicaly prescribed drugs have side effects just read the leaflets the packets contain, and just to top that off even they can become adictive. De Orc drug user of long standing (Medicinal only now LOL)
