The Sea Port Issue

Yes, but that is not the point. Germany is an awful lot like the United States. The original inference in this discussion was that the USA imposes a lot of restrictions on foreignors, or more precisely, employs U.S. Customs agents throughout the world to harass foreign travelers. My contention is that the USA imposes fewer restrictions on foreignors and travelers than other countries. In fact, we do so to our own detriment. In that regard, i believe that this long-standing open policy will change, and is changing, because of pervasive Islamic terorism and the outrageous volume of illegal Mexican immigration.

We will never see the level of control as exhibited in totalitarian nations like China, North Korea, Cuba, and Iran.

 

Huh? Who wrote that? I certainly did not. As I mentioned before in this discussion, "Those US customs checks at non-US sea ports have nothing to do whatsoever with individual travel." My English is not good enough to explain all those technical terms, but I was referring to cargo, as I wrote before. Containers with goods, not people ...

The Sea Port Issue is a large issue that has been ignored in this nation.
I remember when Clinton against advice from various agencies allowed the Communist Chinese government to take over the Long Beach Naval Weapons Ship Yard in 1997, the only major deep water port that can take large ships on the west coast. It also has not been reported but Communist China has docked their naval ships there when Clinton was president and those ships were nuclear armed. I am not updated on this but I would not be surprised that it is continuing.
Funny how "our" news reporters never uncovered it!

Now as far as the left in this nation wanting the USA out of Panama well guess what happened.

In 2000, the Communist Chinese, Hutchinson Whampoa which is run by the PLA, took over the Panama Canal and has stationed between 15,000 and 30,000 troops at the facility. Thats right, we built it then gave it up under claims of imperalism and now communist china has troops stationed there. Do not forget that China is dependent on Arab oil and could turn on us on the Arabs behalf. For right now China is cracking down on christian churches there but allows the muslim population to grow. Why, that is what their suppliers of oil want.

Your English is perfect. Communication is not my best suit. On an entrance examination to college they gave me an aptitude test. Each academic discipline was listed in columns., with a bar chart to indicate the scores. My scores went from 99% in "science", to 22% in "correctness of expression". to 99% in "math". My chart looked like a seismogram. :goofer:

 

Thanks. Well, in everyday English conversations I won't sound like a complete idiot, but in cases like this ... Actually I just looked up what the official US government term for this kind of check is - "Container Security Initiative". And part of this CSI is that US customs officials work in major sea ports outside the US.

Mine would probably have been a mirror image. Science ... ho-hum. Language ... pretty good. Maths ... don't ask.
