The problem with the RW is that they have racism so engrained in them that when something spurts out of their mouths such as with Santorum, they don't even know that they are being racists. It is just the way they think and they can't see it as racist when they say that black people are taking other people’s money through welfare when the reality of welfare is that there are more white people on welfare than black people.

Do you believe that Santorum didn't say "Black people"? He is now denying saying it. You listen and tell me if he didn't say black people. If not, what did he say?

Are you saying that the term "black people" is a bad term? You use that term all the time.

No, black people is a fine term in my opinion even though it is inaccurate. The problem is exclusively equating black people with welfare and I'm sure that is how Santorum and the rest of the Right-wing sees blacks. And my point is that they are cluesless about their own racism.

I have to disagree with you right there. "Black" is not a fine term. We've gone over this countless times in the past and I don't feel like rehashing it. I'll simply state that there is no reason to discriminate based on someone's skin tone (calling someone "black" IS discrimination. Doing so discriminates that person against another person's skin tone just the same as calling someone "white").

Why don't you try, just as an experiment, going one day without referring to someone's skin tone?

He's starting his rant again about the "Right Wing and their racism". He has a beam in his eye and doesn't even realize it...! Sheeeeeeesh!

Right! The issue here isn't about using the term black. Nobody is offended by the use of the term black. The issue here, which you seem to be avoiding at all costs, is why Santorum would single out people of African descent as representative of welfare recipients when they only constitute 22% of the people on welfare while they are a much larger proportion of the poor population. Keep dodging.

Santorum is a RINO and, quite frankly, is an idiot. Using him for the standard against which to judge conservatives on racial views is like using Al Sharpton to judge all liberals.

Why do people like Clinton, Reid & Biden get away with their little racist statements?
    Biden- BO is "clean"
Reid- BO using a "Negro dialect"
Clinton- BO (in past years) would be serving us tea

Very simple answer - "their" people control the media.

    BTW, don't forget Holder!

What about Obama himself, for using the dialect in the first place?

Wait a minute, I though Fox was #1? Which way do you want it now?

In a statement to CNN, Reid said, "I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words."
Biden issued a statement Wednesday afternoon, saying: "I deeply regret any offense my remark in the New York Observer might have caused anyone. That was not my intent and I expressed that to Sen. Obama."

Teddy Kennedy reported this remark in a private conversation and Clinton has never admitted to it but given that Clinton's wife was running against Obama in 2008 during the time of the alleged remark and the fact that Clinton is a Southerner, I wouldn’t be surprised if he did make such a comment but I guess we’ll never know. Kennedy did endorse Obama after all.

So Dems have a pattern of apologizing for dumb racial remarks and what do Cons do when they say something racially based and dumb, they either double down or deny saying it in the first place or deny that it was even racist.
Anyone can say something stupid once. It's the pattern you have to look for. It also isn’t so much what you say as it is what you do after you say something dumb. When a Dem says something dumb, they know that they have to make amends because their base wouldn’t tolerate such language.
The Cons know that they are feeding their constituent's bigotry. They know that saying such things play well in RW circles and nobody in the audience calls them on it either. Are the audience members just that dumb or are they in agreement? That is the major difference. And since when does anything the Dems say serve as a justification or excuse for the Cons to say whatever they want? That is the argument you are making.

Fox is the #1 cable news show. So how do "their" people control the media? Can we have another simple answer? Unlikely!

Fox might be #1 in cable. What part of the market share is that?

So, it's okay to make racist stmts as long as you apologize after getting caught? I see. That's how such dimocrat stalwarts like Robert Byrd, William Fulbright and the rest were able to rise within the party?

Don't hold my side accountable if you won't hold your own side accountable. It just comes off as hypoctical.
