According to one of the links in post #38, Faux cites an unsourced (at least in the piece linked) figure of 6.3 million people who have had their insurance policies cancelled. And then says it doesn't know how many of that number have had their plans reinstated and it doesn't address the number who have found new plans to replace the cancelled ones.

It also doesn't tell us how many were glad to get rid of their old plans and how many would have preferred to keep them. So the figure really tells us what, exactly? It doesn't really even address Obama's lie about being able to keep your plan if you want it, because we don't know how many of the alleged 6.3 million wanted those plans they lost and how many didn't, or how many were able to keep them in the end if that was their wish.

 

But you are not addressing the question. It simply said;

Hopefully you can do the rest of the simple math.

 

You tell me. Aetna said their outlook for 2014 was based on "losses from the new plans". The key word there being "losses".

For example, if you buy a candy bar for 75 cents, the company isn't losing money. Naturally, they're not making as much had they charged you $1.00 instead.

However, Aetna says they're "losing money" and it makes perfect sense if they're forced to insure an older populace who are taking more out of the system than they're giving especially when the money isn't being replenished from the younger populace.

 

Also, the last I heard it was against the law for companies to use Washington speak. They actually have to say what their forecasts are in stead of hiding them in the mumble jumble of political talking points.

 

You have no idea what 6.3 million figure really means, do you. It looks big and you like the sound of it and so you thought you'd toss it out there. Typical.

 

It means just what it says it means.

So far, 6.3 million Americans have had their health insurance policies canceled because of Obamacare.
