The larger Seaport Issue

Now I started a thread by stating how Clinton allowed Communist China to take over the only deep water port on the West Coast. I mentioned that naval warships from communist china have docked there. I have mentioned that they indeed had nuclear weapons. I mentioned how china is dependent on middle east oil and is allying itself to Iran. Now these are bigger security risks then the UAE for not only do we have nuclear weapons on our shores that if launched can not be responded to without being hit anyway but we also have the potential for a nuke bomb being sold to Iran indirectly thru a puppet terrorist group by a Chinese official nonofficially and being delivered upon our shores in Califorina. Remember that is the state with the highest population.

We have serious security issues in this nation and I hope that one day the democrats and republicans drop the politics and resolve them and the anti-americans are silenced to end the undermining of our nation and distractions from the truth that they do in a matter that I am accustomed to.

You went off topic with a little bit of truth mixed with a lot of misinformation.
Some of us corrected you with facts with your off topic comments and you still venture off again ignoring the truth and misdirecting the thread away from the content that it is putting out.

BTW the whole idea of the tread is a bit silly. Bush tries to give our ports to UAE and it is Clinton's fault because he took illegal money from the Chinesse to give away our West coast. All this with no evidence.

 

Unlikely. It is wishful thinking to believe that many, if any, of their armaments are from the 80ies let alone from the US in the 80ies. Even a little logic would tell you that they would have a very hard time maintaining them without access to spare parts, etc. And it would be a foolish nation that would arm for defense or war with weapons that they cannot repair or maintain or get parts for. Iran is a lot of things but it is not militarily foollish.

 

Stu they had a report on NPR detailing their military capacity. Apparently they have a grand total of 50 military jets and they are all "vintage". It sounds like most of what they have (and it was way less than I thought) is a bit long in the tooth.

 

Interesting. Although aircraft would probably be a difficult thing to keep up with so it isn't as surprising that stuff would be more ancient and not replaced. They are expensive to buy, expensive to operate, expensive to maintain, very technical items that require a level of training that is difficult to maintain. If you don't have well trained pilots, no matter what planes you have, they are just going to leave impressive fireballs when they crash or are shot down. Tanks, artillery and other ground weapons are probably a very different story, though, and I bet a lot of that is not near as vintage. Missiles too. Nor I bet is that stuff US arms.

I would still suspect that much of what they acquired in the 80ies was damaged or destroyed in the (8? year) Iran/Iraq war or is in no shape to be used 20 years later even if it wasn't. they have either replaced or they have very little to work with. I bet on the former. And, I bet NPR, as well as everyone else, is doing a lot of guess work because it is a very closed society and I doubt our own intelligence agencies know a lot first hand.

By Executive Order in January 1998 Clinton gave COSCO the rights to the Long Beach Port. The only deep water port on the west coast. COSCO is the China Ocean Shipping Company. The China Ocean Shipping Company is 100% owned by the PLA. The PLA is the Peoples Liberation ARmy of Red China.

Now if you or Moen or anyone else want your own proof why not call the Zhang Wen Qin at 213-532-2989. He is the President of Operations there. Or if you do not have the nerve to do that call 866-502-6726 and speak with a customer service official and ask your questions. Remember to be polite and not direct. Also COSCO is owned by the PLA so expect that you will be recorded and they will know where you are calling from.
