I don't know. Putin for sure is in a way weaker position now than Trump ever had him in. Khameni will die soon (as will Biden and Trump). We will see who succeeds him, but they're not exactly in a position of power now either. It was Trump's "leadership" anyway that led to the massive acceleration of their nuclear program, as you may recall.

Much like Obama, Trump warned Iran that, while we do not relish attacking them, we are willing to do so. Unlike Obama, he did not make them flush with billions of Dollars used to fund their conntinued nuclear ambitions.

In a discussion about leadership I will choose a man that built a skyline over a waffling empty pantsuit while my kids world is burning. One who snubs our greatest ally by vacating her seat in the chambers to curry the “river to the sea” voting base. An electorate that has done nothing to contribute but is well versed at taking from this great nation. Yes, a man that builds skylines is most assuredly a leader in the strictest sense.

 

Slow today, are we? . . . Their progress skyrocketed because, after so many years of economic sanctions, the Iranians suddenly had real money to spend again. I suppose that, in order to avoid such progress taking place during the Trump administration, Obama could have delayed delivery of funds for a number of years.

 

That doesn't make any sense. All the progress occured after the massive sanctions came through by Trump. We know this because until Trump backed out of our promises (weakening our ability to do things diplomatically and without violence btw), we had very direct access to watch their progress. Now we only have estimates.

Bullcrap. The sanctions existed before Obama was elected.

As for “watching” the Iranians, all we could do was watch them clearing evidence of weapons development out of their facilities mere days before inspections because Obama agreed to disallow unannounced inspections.

Listen, GW, and listen good. That was no interpretation. It was information provided for your benefit, explaining why Trump was justified in pulling out of a bad . . . yes, bad agreement.

Obama made an inferior decision, and we are paying for it. Trump did not facilitate the growth of Iran's nuclear weapons capability . . . Obama did. Not only did he ensure the Iranians had time to relocate implicating assets before inspections . . . he also refilled their seriously depleted coffers. Obama practically rebuilt their nuke program for them.

Your response was a clever attempt, GW, in that I cannot technically argue that Trump was effective in impeding their progress, but I'm sure as Hell right that he was more effective than the lauded BHO was.
