Well, let's break it down...Leftwing liberal (redundant), fascist or fascism is not the same as Nazism as many assume. The most notable characteristic of a fascist country is the separation and persecution or denial of equality to a specific segment of the population. (That would contradict liberalism). Political police, I'm guessing you meant politically correct police (All I can say about this aspect is that political correctness isn't the private domain of either political party but rather a societal construct that has caught on and is being used to influence the course of politics by some influential power brokers. I think well see a heck of lot more of Jessica Alba on the nightly news than we'll see of your phrase, and that’s a good thing. Sorry.

For a seemingly educated person, you seem to be very ignorant. Many homosexuals are productive members of society. I would hazard to guess that the ratio of productive homosexuals is higher than the ratio of productive heterosexuals. From what I've seen, homosexuals appear to be the victims of intolerant heterosexuals. Violence against the homosexual community is widespread; for instance: www.matthewshepard.org. And for those of you who think that sex is the only thing on the mind of homosexuals, well, let's take a look at one particular heterosexual President of the United States. I hesitate to bring politics into this discussion, but the fact is that Bill Clinton couldn't keep his heterosexual tendencies in check and nearly split the entire county apart because of it. This heterosexual president engaged in fellatio in the Oval Office while my tax dollars were paying his salary. He was even conducting business over the telephone while engaged in a heterosexual act. I guess by doing this, he was very "productive". How do you answer the question of all the unwed (heterosexual) female teens who are depending on our tax dollars for support simply because they couldn't keep their heterosexual desires in check? Or the deadbeat (heterosexual) dads who refuse to pay child support for the children they bring into this world because of their heterosexual lust? They're not being very productive. It seems like every other story in the news is about some heterosexual man raping and killing a young girl. Or a heterosexual man killing his wife and dumping her body at sea. Or some heterosexual teens under investigation for homicide in Aruba for having heterosexual sex and then killing a young girl. Or some female heterosexual teacher sentenced to prison for raping an underage male. Most of our politicians are heterosexual, so I suppose we can blame the fact that this county is in the shape it's in on the fact they're heterosexual. I really can't believe how ignorant, intolerant and blind some of you people are. It simply amazes me.

I do not know why certain people want everyone to accept one groups idea of proper sexuality and call those who oppose it peacefully as closed minded. To me that is advocating mind control. Now for everyone who opposes OldDan's views that he wants nothing to do with the homosexual crowd, are you also against The Black Entertainment Channel, The Ebony Awards, the outdated United Nergo Fund and Black Colleges that get Federal money to stay as Black Colleges. Either leftwing or rightwing is radical and if you go far enough from the center, they are both extreme. Why focus only on the left side? Like I said before Andy, you think of yourself as a centrist but your words expose you as rightwing. Not exreme rightwing but most certainly right of center. My wife has s theory, and I'll give her credit here, that we need the extreme right and left political views otherwise we'd never go anywhere politically in this country. You just can't go to the extreme right or left without significant political problems cropping up. So don't knock either extreme as "out there" because they are both necessary.

"All in the Family" Lets see. Archie Bunker worked for a living. Meathead didn't. Archie Bunker served in the military. Meathead protested. Archie Bunker gave his wife a roof over her head. Meathead moved into his wive's fathers house. Archie Bunker provided food for the table. Meathead ate the food and insult Archie at that same table. Seems to me that Archie was a much better man then meathead.
That show was great! I wish they put those kind of shows on again. Shows that portray the sociological changes in our society with depth, humor, and humanity. Meathead wasn't all bad either though.
If I remember correctly he was a bum who became a college professor. A radical leftwing college professor teaching youth when he had no real life experience himself. Yes the show did touch on reality.
That is what is so good about the show, everyone takes their own perception of it. Mike was an idealist, Archie was pragmatic. The fact that you see Meathead that way shows that you are pragmatic.
If Mike was so much an idealist then why couldn't he show restraint with dealing with Archie. Archie was the father of his wife, Archie was providing the house that he was living for free in, Archie was feeding him and if I remember correctly Archie used to give Meathead money as well. I know that Archie had some issues but deep down he was a good man who was polluted and he knew it and was trying to work thru it. They even had a whole show on it when Archie and Meathead were stuck in the basement without heat but with some liquer. I do not see meathead as an idealist but rather a representation of someone who bites the hand that feeds him. Someone who also was not appreciative of all the opportuntity that his nation gave him. Don't forget the self made millionare George Jefferson who was black did not like meathead and his rants.
As I remember Meathead was a genius and his perspective on life revolved around the ideas and ideals he was learning at NYU. These thoughts were at odds with Archie big time. As for Archie providing for Meathead I think he did that to help his daughter get a start in life and he really rubbed it in. Though Meathead was obnoxious. Meathead worked in that I remember he was serious about his studies.
Have you ever been to NYU. Not as good of an University as one would think but it sure is an expensive one. One of my Grandmothers, an illegal as well, worked her tail off in their kitchen and died in her early 40's. Her long hours and hot work conditions did not exactly fit the "leftist Liberal" view that NYU likes to portray itself as. It is also a hotbed of the ACLU. Funny all of those ACLU people never cared to see what was happening in their own backyard, or kitchen I should say as they stuffed their mouths.
Oh let me think... if I recall directly Meathead (Michael Stivic) eventually married Laverne Defazio, made Sleepless in Seattle and lived happily ever after. Gloria Bunker-Stivic went on hopelessly peddling stale sandwiches to poor islam children, and eventually took a dying stint on "General Hospital" Poor Archie, finally found his calling as a sheriff in Georgia, and slowly fizzled out because the chain smoking Selma's and Patty's of the U.S. preferred McGuyver. Poor Archie died in 2001, one too many ring-dings for his diabetes to handle. Who won.. liberalism of course .... life sucks.. then you get a parking ticket.. just kidding
