So lets do this. Guns walked. PERIOD! That has been proven and that is a crime. PERIOD. Brian Terry was murdered with one of those guns. That has been proven. That is a crime. PERIOD. Just because Obama cannot act, hides the facts, covers everything up, ignores subpoenas, etc. does not in any way eliminate the crimes. And ALL of this was done by people answering to Obama. It has been 50 years since President Kennedy invoked words from John Winthrop's “City Upon a Hill” to talk about the great responsibility that comes with serving in government. While the original passage is centuries old, many of its ideals still hold true today, namely the principles of trust and accountability.

Today, we saw Governor Christie stand up and apologize to the people of New Jersey for the controversy surrounding the lane closings on the George Washington Bridge. Governor Christie stood before the New Jersey and national press corps for nearly two hours, making it clear that members of his team behaved unacceptably.

After learning about his staff’s involvement and their dishonesty when asked about it, he immediately took action and terminated the responsible parties. That’s what leaders do.

It is always difficult to deal with controversy and scandal, especially when it involves members of your team you’ve trusted and relied on for years. But the Governor’s honest and straightforward approach stands in complete contrast to the way that President Obama has handled the many serious controversies surrounding his Administration over the last year.

In recent months the news has been inundated by stories and controversy surrounding the President’s dealings with Benghazi, the IRS and most notably, Obamacare. Every day there were new headlines about the President’s involvement in these events.

While the circumstances of each incident were different, one thing remained consistent: President Obama took little responsibility in any of these events. He blamed others, made excuses and passed the buck.

While many Americans are receiving cancellation notices for the health insurance plans they were told they could keep – others are facing increased premiums and losing access to the doctors they know and trust. The President’s rhetoric on Obamacare was so off base it was even named Politifact’s “Lie of the Year.”

Rather than take responsibility for these failures, the President has shifted blame among his political counterparts, and despite wasting over $500 million taxpayer dollars on the website, not a single person has been held accountable for this disastrous rollout, let alone fired for their incompetence.

This is no way to lead.

As John Winthrop and President Kennedy both said many years ago, government should be “constructed and inhabited by men aware of their great trust and their great responsibilities.” Today, we saw that philosophy embodied by Governor Christie. Hopefully President Obama was taking notes.

So what! It's a really big story. We have some pretty damning emails and lots of characters involved. Give it a week and you'll hear far less of a story you obviously really, really don't want to hear. Well, unless more shoes drop. Either way, another corrupt Republican is toast. Meh!

OMG!!! Just a little partisan, huh? Seems to me we saw some of those "damaging emails" from the IRS also. There were lots of characters involved too. Oh, but Christie actually blocked some Democrats from entering a tunnel while the IRS only went after the Tea party and other conservatives. Going after conservatives is a good thing in the world of the lame street media.

Oh, BTW there were emails and people involved with Benghazi too, but somehow not everything has been released even yet.

Funny, but we went through the same thing for fast and furious.

FWIW, Christie's has actually risen IMO - so long as he really was not involved. He acted like a real manager should in stead of like a scared little 5 year old trying to lye and hide everything bad - i.e.Obama.

 

This thing just broke and it broke hard. We are going to hear a lot more in the coming weeks and from what everyone says about Christie's management style, there is no way in hell that all these people around him where doing this without his knowledge. And let's say for the sake of argument that they kept him in the dark, what kind of leader does that make him? A damn poor one for sure. IMO he absolutely knew and once the federal charges start coming down on his staff, one of them is going to rollover on his big ass. Too many people were involved for this to have been an isolated incident. You never want the media to smell blood in the water when it comes to political scandal. It's what they do best. Stay tuned peeps!

I put no credence in your predictions, Kreskin. Didn't you also predict that Hillary would run as Obama's VEEP in 2012? Didn't you also predict that the Right Wing was behind the Boston Marathon bombings? Didn't you also predict that Scott Walker would be recalled?

For a group that has tried, convicted, sentenced, and lynched Obama without an iota of proof, you sure are forgiving of one of yours that is deep in the middle of a scandal where Chrisie's immediate staff was caught red-handed abusing their power and endangering lives purely for political retribution. You're just angry it wasn't the Obama Administration because then you would actually have something you don't have now...Proof. Show any proof of criminal activity, any proof. You have nothing. Just a list of accusations. How sad for you.

 

Please, please, puh-leaze show us anything you have on Christie that proves he's guilty. I would really like to hear what you have. You've made the accusations, now please show us the evidence.

 

The subpoenas haven't even been issued yet and you're demand proof and defending this snot rag? Believe me, and I know you won't, it's coming. This thing is just too widespread not to involve Christie himself. I know you're hoping like the dickens that it doesn't but ah ha ha ha..
