I can have good debate with Moen, I not like his opinion sometimes but I respect he can make good point and not get stupid. Cannot say same for danr, he resorts name call and pictures etc. It not discussion or debate if one gets childish.

 

Again you have expressed your oppinion of FDR, which may or may not be accurate in many peoples eyes. I also find it ironic that just this evening ABC news made reference to and compared WWII and what is going on mow in Iraq. Length of time and number of deaths. They credit the smaller dead rate to much improved on site medical aid, which I guess lacked something back in the 40's. So maybe it's you and not me who has colosed their minds and eyes to what is,or is not going on in this world. Wake up Old Man and get into the know.

 

sorry Guardian, Moen is right on this one FRD was a man of greater substance and The Iraq war can be compared to WWII only in superficial ways.

 

I also saw a referrence to WWII on the NBC nightly news and the very first line out of Brian Williams mouth was that "WWII and Iraq are vastly different conflicts". You are right that I did express my opinion about FDR but you are wrong that it may or may not be wrong or right. It's my opinion. It's what I believe based on my life experiences. There is no wrong or right about it. A belief is not subject to someone else's system of right and wrong. That's why we call it an OPINION!

And by the way, I was, "In the Know" long before your conservative parents had to sneak across the border to get hitched after they found out your mom was pregnant by some guy she couldn't remember because the conservative Christian church they belonged to wouldn't marry them under those circumstances. You are absolutely right Joe, and it shall stop if Moen is willing to offer an apology for the slanderous posts and statements related to me and my family, I'll in turn quit calling attention to Moen's 'better-than- thou' attitude with all the other posters. But this is probably too much to expect from someone this old and set in his ways.

I don't much like bigots like yourself. You used the racial slur out of stupidity or bigotry and have not apologized to anyone for this yet. Maybe you aren't big enough to admit you are wrong. That doesn't surprise me very much.

Gosh, Danr puts up a better fight than this! Maybe it's just his age and vigor, or maybe it's that he believes in his side of the issue a little more. But to show my generosity, I will accept with the provisin that you stop the mean talk and know it all attitude. I have never claimed to "know it all", nor do I think of this forum as winning and losing. You seize every opportunity you can to get in my face even though I've asked you to stay out of my posts and I in turn offered to stay out of yours. You refused to even answer that request.

The truth is you like your inane ramblings because you are probably under the impression that you are clever or insightful in some way. I'm not going to speak for anyone else here but I rarely find anything you have to say falls into the categories of insightful or clever. Others here can decide for themselves if they wish. Your only intent is to stir up as much mindless one-up-manship as you can in a futile attempt to sound superior. Or maybe your life is so boring that this is your only means of interpersonal stimulation. I really can't say.

You attack and ridicule everything I post and have done so since you came to this forum. I have been on CoinTalk a good deal longer than you and people like you come and go with some regularity. In your brief tenure here, you haven't contributed squat to the coin section of the forum but you have successfully chased away several people with interesting perspectives from this area of CT. Do you even collect coins? I have to wonder.

I gotta say, I really don't like wasting time talking to people like you and if you dislike me with an equal amount of passion, why don't we avoid each other completely? It wouldn't be difficult for me to not comment on anything you want to add to a post because I already don't respect your opinion. You just have to figure out how to get along without living your life in opposition to me. In any case, this is the last I'll be hearing from you because you are the only person on CT on my ignore list.
