Likely the most memorable thing said by President Harry S Truman. It used to be that the mark of a true leader was that he would take responsibility. This last month or so I have heard so much of; Putins fault, oil companies fault, truckers, fault, meat packers fault, Trumps fault, etc..... Does this blame game have a positive impact with young people these days? From where I sit, every time I hear it, I lose more respect for the man. Is it a generational thing?
Not any intent to take any credit from POTUS Truman, but we have Fred Cahill, U.S. Marshall, for suggesting it to POTUS. POTUS Truman had his moments, but had some difficult mountains to cross that could have been avoided. It is to his credit that he chose Baruch to help him with the task.
I just listened to the man address a group of dock workers.... Same diatribe. Putin's price hike, Oil companies at fault, businesses don't pay tax (BS), I got the best economy since Thomas Jefferson..... On and on.... It reminds me of when my daddy in law (God rest his soul) had dementia the last few years of his life. Every day he was commandeering that US Army jeep in Italy in 1944 to go chase girls. The man told me that story every day of his life his last two years...... Our president is entirely out of touch.
How exactly did Biden cause inflation worldwide? How did Biden cause oil prices to spike all over the world? How did Biden cause supply chain disruptions all over the planet? How did Biden cause a worldwide pandemic before he even took office? Enquiring minds want to know.
When Reagan took on a spiraling inflation problem, he was proactive. Exactly what Biden is not. Biden is a reactive man….. But fact is, the simple act of putting billions of free cash into the economy did fuel this inflation fire…. Spending money wantonly at government levels fuels inflation. Threatening business with tax increases fuels inflation. His words have drawn a line in the sand between business and government and that has fueled inflation. And he began this war of words on the day he was inaugurated…. The man waged war on fossil fuel day one. Problem is, fossil fuel delivers everything you touch. Everything increased in cost initially because it cost more to get it there. His response? Throw money at everyone. Now there are too many dollars chasing goods that are already inflated due to fuel costs quite literally “throwing fuel on the fire”…. And as an added bonus, the free money undercut positive work ethic in an entire generation. So now not only does it cost more to get what we need, we can’t even get it often times. Yes this hell we are living in has been exacerbated by government meddling. Only business can lead us out of this horror and he refuses to get out of the way. More government is glaringly the problem. Never has there been a more textbook case of government being the problem. Please let the man vacation the next 2 1/2 years and let those of us that can, get the job done.
