I can just see one now. All alone in their dark room with just a lamp and table. A terrible storm raging just outside with every flash of lightening and clap of thunder the window panes rattle and the dog howls...

But the Atheist is oblivious to the atmospheric maelstrom going on around them, concentration, concentration. A drip of sweat smears the inside of their glasses, damn. The dremel tool buzz's away while they file IN GOD WE TRUST off of every coin which comes out of a large canvas bag on the floor.

Changing the world one penny, nickel, dime, or quarter at a time. The mind is a delicate organ...LOL :mouth: :mouth: :mouth:

I think the most renown coin collector in history was not in fact an Atheist but some guy who collected 30 pieces of silver... It's love of money over love of God that points out the hypocrisy you exhibit. You're anything but Christian in your attitude but at least you are the typical variety of Christian this country is filled with.

Just ask your magic friend for forgiveness and go on being an a$$hole everyday and you'll get that eternal reward you salivate over. Your exactly what drives thinking people away from your hypocritical religion.

Judge not least ye be judged.

I don't believe Mr. Bonedigger posted this thread to push your button, but it appears it has. Personally I find it to exhibit a presence of great vision and imagination. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are foundation pillars of our constitution. Throwing insults is just bad manors.

    NICE ONE BONE!!!!!

You dont think he posted this to push buttons? hmmm...I cant see any other reason to be honest...

Funny, at one time the US didnt have 'in god we trust' on our coins...I dont care mind you...amazing what some religious guys with spare time to send letters to senators will do...now its on every coin. :)

I guess one could have easily...and just as out of the blue...posted something like:

I can just see one now. All along in their dark room with just a lamp and table. A terrible storm raging just outside with every flash of lightening and clap of thunder the window panes rattle and the dog howls...

But the christian is oblivious to the atmospheric maelstrom going on around them, concentration, concentration. A drip of sweat smears the inside of their glasses, damn. Letter after letter the christian writes to his congressman insisting that all coin in the US have God on them...even if it takes an act of congress...he WILL get his god mentioned on every bit of money minted or printed in the US.

Forcing his religion on the masses one penny, nickel, dime, or quarter at a time. The mind is a delicate organ...LOL

but certainly he is free to express his opinions...:) Ad nauseum

Walter, what about freedom FROM religion? I don't have to live by judge not lest ye be judged, that's your code not mine. And frankly, their are few among your ranks that can walk the talk. Most are just a bunch of hypocrits.

A true coin collector would care nothing whether a coin exhibited religious phrases or not....personally I find the whole 'In god we trust' thing fascinating for what is says about US culture. Sort of like the kalima on coins from the Middle East. Another great bit of history to know. BTW, whose god is it that we are supposed to trust?

While all this unfolds in some desolate place away from prying eyes, the Agnostic simply put's the coins on the counter at the grocery store or the dresser by their bed 'face down.' ALWAYS Face Down...

Bone, I'm kinda picturing you right now in a little dark room lit only by the glow of a flat screen giggling to yourself and snorting as you tap away at the keys. Take some R and R buddy, you're due.

The religious culture war in this country is very real but it is the fundamentalists who are attacking secular culture all the time complaining that they are under attack. It is very Orwellian to live in this country right now. Somewhat frightening too.

I don't claim any denomination of religion. All men are corruptible even the holiest of our times. I do how ever believe in purity of the soul and our need as a people to start showing each other more love and less hate.

I agree most people are hypocritical in their convictions. Walking the talk takes great effort and honestly I don't always adhere to my own principles, but I try.

You are free to do as you like. I certainly am not trying to impose my ideals on you or anyones for that matter. They are merely suggestions. You have the right be angry and hateful. IMHO hate is a waste of time and energy, but mostly it causes serious damage to you or soul. Which is light, love, and the truth.

God bless and on offenses intended.

I am neither offended nor angry nor do I harbor the illusion of the existence of a soul. Hate is most certainly a wasted emotion, I'll give you that. I believe if people were kinder and less judgemental of those that differ from themselves we'd all live in a better world and for me at least, it has nothing to do with a soul. Just basic human kindness is preferable but in short supply these days especially in this country.

Moen1305,you are referring to Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane for 30 pieces of silver (Tyrean Shekels),& later strings himself up.

    Aidan.

Bottom line if a person states there is no god then that person henceforth becomes bigger then god.
One way for a small person to inflate themselves or even worship themselves.

" I Place my image upon the web for all of the world to see and want you all to bow down to my words of wisdom no matter how foolish they may be" The atheist.
