My view is now less than two percent changed. Thanks for the statistic. Are you hinting that in those cases abortion is ok? Do you think making it illegal will stop abortions? It may reduce them, sure. But it wont eliminate them. So if that happens; whats gained? Less abortion and more unwanted kids? And shouldnt the mother in jeopardy during pregnancy willingly give her life for that of a child whos path has yet to be determined?

Should abortion be a form of birth control? Is this really the question? No one would say yes. Do you know anyone who actually thinks it is? But that doesnt mean it should be illegal.

Pretty strong statement there yet everyone ignored it INCLUDING those on this forum with the more extreme right wing to conservative viewpoints. After all, wouldn't that be something folks would be jumping all over? Hell, Libs would be all over that as well and I can bet you know that as well. So here's the big question. Where did you get this information? Seriously, such a statement really does need to be backed up. Whom did he tell this too? When did he tell it? A live audio or video link would really be good. So, would you care to elaborate where you got this because then on November 26, 2009 you had this to say. So now you're tying Libs in general to what you say Obama believes with no backing whatsoever. This is how I perceive it and I have a gut feeling I'm not alone on this perception. So here's the challenge David. Please PROVE me wrong. Show me where the Obama and the "abortion being an acceptable form of birth contol" thing really started. It will need to be well backed up David as it is a very serious issue is it not? Seems you're pretty serious about it so put up. Others that want to help David on this please do so as well. The minute I see conclusive evidence of what David so nonchalantly tossed out about Obama's views on abortion could change mine and many other "Libs" opinion about his views on abortion/birth control and he as a leader.
Ummmm. Abortion is always a form of birth control. It certainly controls whether there will be a birth or not. It is not a form of contraception, however.
Obama has supported late term abortion & the withholding of medical care for infants who have survived a botched abortion. He also said he would be in favor of his own daughter having an abortion if she made a "mistake" (not if she was raped or her health was in danger- if she made a "mistake"). You know what else he could call that "mistake" whose life he would extinguish? How about his grandchild!!! I don't have the time or desire to comb through months of posts or "links" to satisfy you so you'll just have to do that research for yourself.
I'm saying that no woman or man has the right to terminate an innocent life...it has nothing to do with equality or being a woman's body...it has everything to do with protecting an innocent life that cannot protect itself.
We kill babies that can't protect themselves all the time from the air. No morality concerns there to speak of. Business as usual. So perhaps it would be ok if it were a "business decision". After all, aren't "business decisions" acceptable?? Explain it in those terms and all would be justified.

But even if it was illegal some people would still support thier children in the choice to abort a child that is unwanted. I dont think anyone supports a woman who gets scraped out more than an Iroquios canoe, but yea unwanted pregnancy can be a mistake. And its something a woman has to live with. It isnt something a stranger needs to live with.
