From the many posts that I have seen here there are many who completely believe the official 9-11 and terrorism story. I find it hard to accept that "coincidently" an event happened that caused so many benefits to accrue to those in power. Especially odd is the fact that Guys like Rummy, Cheney, and the Bush clan are CIA secret ops types.
    Some of the benefits accrued:
-The longstanding desire among many in power to invade Iraq was fulfilled.
-Great benefit to Halliburton (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=HAL&t=2y&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=) during a time when most of the market suffered (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=^DJI&t=2y).
-Great benefit to the energy industries (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?t=2y&s=COP&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=xom&c=^DJI)
Feel free to add to this benefits accured list or refute

    Inregards to your claims.

I am not a Bush fan and I am upset with the money that we pour into an oil rich nation to rebuild it when Iraq should be paying its own way and I am upset with missing oil monies.

However, I am tired of this leftist elitest attitude. What you posted was one of many leftwing lies about 911 that they have been spreading around. I hope as your eyes get older you will see the truth clearer.

Let me ask you this. If Bush started the war in Iraq to give Halliburton no-bid contracts then did Clinton start our involvement in the war in Serbia also to give Halliburton no-bid contracts.

Now you going to say well Cheney was once the CEO of Halliburton and now he is the vice-president under Bush. Which is true but it is also true that when Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton, Clinton gave Halliburton 2.2 billion in no-bid contracts.

    Look it up.

By the way corporate giants like Halliburton, Bechtel, Schlumberger, etc.. do not start wars to get money they just have Democratic and Republician leaders on their board of directors to get the government contracts in time of war or peace.

Please don't post such posts about 911 that are outright lies. I lost friends I knew since High School in the towers.

Andy I knew that this post would bring you out. I know that I sound "Moorish"(haha) here but this thing did give these guys a chance to attack Iraq and they wanted to do that for years, and then there are the super close ties between the Bush family and the upper level Arab clans (like the bin Ladens), quite a "coincidence" (the Clinton family had no such connections, neither did the Reagan family, the Carter family, the Ford family, the Nixon family, the Johnson family, etc.....). Also the way oil is traded (futures) creates an added benefit that fear of cutting of supplies (due to tensions in the area) raised prices and make huge profits for the Bushs' friends (both Saudi and Texan). These are a tight country club set of people and Bush is loyal to the upper level Saudis, he is not loyal to you.

The biggest benefit that I can come up with in short order is that I was advised to buy stock in several of these companies. I did, and now I'm laughing all the way to the bank. I'll never call that advisor an "idiot" again, even though he is a Democrat.

Old dan you are correct sir!! This is a tough market to make those returns. BTW if anyone can find a link to an American leader (congress, judicial, or executive, state, local, or other) holding hands with a high level Saudi please post it, I can't find one (other than the Bush family).

Clinton has alot of ties to the Saudi's. One of those ties is his library. !00 million dollars was donated to build and staff that library by a Saudi. And guess what. Those staffers are already working for Hillary with building a potential national campaign paid for indirectly with arab money.
Look up the funders of the Clinton library and then look up how many staffers it has and who they are.

Bundles of arab oil money is flowing into the pockets of our political leaders one way or another. Bundles of arab oil money is helping to fund the ACLU, Move on dot.org as well as small demonstrations around the nation. Why because they are at war with us on many different levels.
So please don't repeat those leftist lies that 911 was a business move started by Halliburton interests. It only undermines the resolve of the nation to defend itself.

911 was an overt attack on the United States by mainly Saudi Terrorists.
Now if your point is that we should have gone into Saudi Arabia instead of Iraq then you have a good point to make a case on.
But this nonsense that the leftist elite puts out in Michael Moore films and internet blogs makes me sick for then it is quoted by a leftist professor and then gets quoted again by a leftist journalist and now we have a lie that is presented as a truth for it has three or four sources of references. All based upon the orginal lie.

And you still did not respond to the fact that Clinton gave Halliburton over 2 billion dollars worth of no-bid contracts when Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton

Sure HAL do something that not a lot of companies do so they get contracts. Cheney made sure that they continued to get those contracts and more (not directly but with policies that created opportunities for HAL and the intangible fact that he is VP and an unspoken reality is that HAL will be treated well- that is how power works). I never came out against the no bid thing (though it is not ideal, it can be pragmatic due to the crazy bidding processes and the time it takes). My problem is the amount of coincidences that accrued benefit to those in power surrounding the events around 9-11 and terrorism. Believe me HAL did very well under GWB they traded in a 7-17 range under Clinton (adj for splits) now they trade above 60. I have not been listening to their conference calls but I can state pretty confidently that the Cheney Bush policies relating to terror/9-11/Iraq have helped HAL do well in a market where every non-oil stock is struggling, I mean really struggling.
As for the Saudi/Bush clan tie there is no comparison. The Bush family are close to them in a way that other leaders simply are not. I would like to see that photo of Clinton holding hands with a high level Saudi.
Then there is that Carlyle group

Maybe Clinton never held hands with a Saudi, but I distinctly remember him shaking hands with an extraterrestrial in the National Enquirer. Now if THAT'S not suspicious, I don't know what is!

Sorry, but that brings up a really intriguing point. Do you think that faster than light drives could run off diesel, or is it simply a kerosene product?

ftl drives on diesel fuel now that is crazy talk. besides we all know ftl is just scifi. now plasma and ion drives those will get you moving. and did any one see that thing with bill nye about solar sails powering a spacecraft?

    Danr,
you really should think before you talk.

Over 3,000 people died at 911. You are stating that our government is behind it for it benefited oil and oil related companies. Yes it is true that a few are making alot but war profiteering is not knew. J.P. Morgan made his money during the civil war. Are you going to say that Lincoln fought the civil war so Morgan could have made his money.
That it was Lincoln's CIA type people who started slavery in the south and who fired on Fort Sumner.

What you are doing is what Hilter did, what Stalin did etc. Make a half lie/half truth statement and make it often enough and people will believe it is the truth. A typical left wing tatic.

Did you ever stop and thought for a moment of the burning people who jumped out of the towers to end their pain. Did you ever thought for a moment of the families of the people who jumped out of the trade towers to their death holding hands to give comfort to each other as they escape being burned to death.

I don't think so for you so excited to spout this leftist lie that you never stopped to think of the actions of your words. People are dying all over the world because of Jihad and all the left wants to do is look for a way to make our government look bad.

We do have corrupt politicians, this is true. But we also have a corrupt religion trying to destory us and the left is aiding and abetting them with the spread of lies.

Summary: George Bush was not flying those jets towards the tower, it was the Saudis
and they were not doing it to raise the price of oil. Any OPEC meeting can
do that. It was done because we are not Sunni faithful.

Note: Arab terrorism was happening in the USA way before Clinton and Bush.
Or do did your professors never tell you who killed Bobby Kennedy.

Holding hands with a Saudi Arabian is like us shaking hands. Just a different custom. I stilll don't trust them and think they'll screw you in a minute, but the holding hands thing is harmless.

Cheney is still a drunk though and I hate the way he clicks his dentures when he speaks. He spent a couple of days here in 2002 during pheasant season (at the height of the War-on-Terror) with Air Force 2 parked on the tarmac at Ellsworth, AFB, and some of his cronies skipped out on a hotel bill for something like $20K. Oh, the stories which swirled for a while, swimming pools full of Ice and Beer, women brought in from Minneapolis/St. Paul, a house had been shot, LOL. It was hushed up, of course but the owner finally got paid like a year and a half later just when he was about to go under from the bill :( The check received was from the US Government a big fat Dept of Agriculture check?

I am a Republican for the sole reason (W) is taking it to the Terrorist's. I don't like all the things he does and says (he's gotten too cocky over the past year and that stunt on the Air Craft carrier...) but he's the best we have for now. Dick Cheney though, I would'nt walk to my mailbox to see him. I think he's crooked as a snake.

I'd be far less likely to believe that there was any kind of conspiracy behind 9/11 than I would be to believe that it was just administration incompetence. The part that still bothers me is how the country rallied behind the very people that should have been held accountable for the attack. It happened on their watch but they blamed everyone else rather than take responsibility. But that’s what we do as a country.

The Saudis said very clearly that if Bush wasn't interested in helping them with their problem (the Palestinian conflict and how the Saudi public was outraged about our support of Israel) then they weren't going to help us either. And, if you remember, if Bush said anything about the Palestinian issue before 9/11 it was to support Israel. The hijackers were Saudis and the Saudi government knew what was happening and did nothing. If Bush had any sense of the fine points of diplomacy, he would have kept his mouth shut and not p***ed off the Saudis and 9/11 would never have been allowed to happen. He called their hand and they weren’t bluffing!

Again, the world is a very complicated place. Every time we put a Republican in office to try and figure it out, we get the shaft. Our popularity around the world has never been lower. Our citizens have much more to fear these days while traveling abroad than ever before. Do you know what the going rate for an American tourist is in the Middle East? It’s sad that there is even an answer to that question. Thank you Bush Administration!

As usual, and nothing new about this, but you missed the point again. IT WAS A DEMOCRAT THAT GAVE ME THE INFORMATION "TO BUY". So I guess you snould say, shame on him/or them.

You followed his advice and gloated about it. Why should I say shame on someone who's business it is to inform people of the best investment options? No point missed here...Besides, I really doubted the truthfulness of your assertion that he was actually a democrat. I figured you just through that in to take a jab at democrats in general.
