Tea Party Leader: Makes “Sense” To Restrict Voting To Landowners

Two weeks ago, Tea Party Nation President Judson Phillips hosted the program and discussed changes that he felt should be made to voting rights in the United States. He explained that the founders of the country originally put “certain restrictions on who gets the right to vote.” He continued, “One of those was you had to be a property owner. And that makes a lot of sense, because if you’re a property owner you actually have a vested stake in the community. If you’re not a property owner, you know, I’m sorry but property owners have a little bit more of a vested interest in the community than non-property owners”

 

That idea though effectively transfers the vote to people with the wealth that are able to own land. You're effectively giving preferential treatment to property owners when "all" Americans should have the right to vote. Very bad idea. That's no better than the republican way of "conducting business", equating the amount of cash to the influence one is afforded to shape society. Perhaps we should just gather together all "non land owners" and relegate them to fulfilling the desires and wishes of the land owners? It is the same thing. Society will benefit when the system encompasses ALL of it's citizens equally and fairly, and not based on wealth. It isn't that now and your suggestion would only further ensure the corruption and the corporate influence would breed. I can't believe you'd actually think that would be a good idea, but, it matters not I suppose. All of our gooses are already cooked anyway. Corporate interests already owns all of us lock, stock and barrel, all the way up to the President of the United States, it isn't looking like it'll change any time soon. WWIII, revolution, martial law, and tyranny are all at the front door getting ready to kick it down. The rulers of Rome have won once again as history repeats itself. The only thing left now is God's judgment to wipe it all away and start over, and that's also very close. We've created our future and allowed it to be sold off to the highest bidder of evil. Too late to fix it now. Enjoy.

My question in all of this is, why do you only hate the right? The left is 100% guilty also.

TomC, put your investigator hat back on and tackle the cap and trade / global waming crap........then, if you look without bias and an honest open mind, you will see it is the Dems everybit as much.
