Here is a little floppy hat I got embroidered to remind me of my time in South West Asia, Saudi Arabia/Kuwait. I wear it proudly every year during the Veterans Day Parade along with other members (WWII, Korea, and Vietnam) of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) who march as well and wear their individual covers as well. Never have I encountered a person yelling or calling me a Muslim Baby Killer. I certainly don't advocate carte-blanch murder of the Muslim people, but I don't trust a one of them. I know they're bad apples in every society, and have undoubtedly crossed paths with a couple of these bad ones, but hey that was my job. Perhaps one day I will, (just like my father and OldDan have softened their opinion of the Japanese) begin to trust the Arabs. It takes time. Never-the-less I'm proud of what I've done and would do it all over again... Bone
Don't blame you for feeling that way, your a credit to this country and I'm proud to have known you. However, if it were my hat, I think I might remove that French flag and replacae it with something else. Just a thought.
