Score each of the following statements. If you strongly agree, give yourself 10 points. If you don't care on way or another (neutral), score the statement as 5. If you strongly disagree, score it a 1.

1.) We should be allowed to say "one nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.

2.) Able-bodied people on welfare should be required to work.

3.) A person who assaults a pregnant women that eventually kills the unborn should be prosecuted for assault and murder.

4.) The United States should put its own interests first and cooperation with international organizations and countries second.

5.) You can't make the poor rich by making the rich poor.

6.) Immigrants coming into this country need to arrive through legal and proper points of entry.

7.) Schools should teach new immigrants about American history and values.

8.) The official language of the United States should be English.

9.) Personal injury attornies should get no more than 15% of any award.

10.) It is possible to use new technology and new science to develop clean, renewable energy that protects the environment and the economy.

If you score more than 51. Guess what? You have conservative values and maybe it is time to stand up to protect and defend America's traditions and values that made it great.

Language, Culture and Borders...once you start to lose one, than the other, you then will lose your country. After all, all great civilizations come to an end. For example, at one time, the Eqyptians (pre-Islam) were great and so were the Romans.

Will the United States fall like past great civilizations? I sure hope not...at least not on my "watch".

    Think about it...

O.K. I did it rather quick and came out with somewhere around 95 points. I didn't think the 15% award was fair. It should be somewhere around 3% with room and board added.

Well, we're in agreement, OldDan... I scored about 98... As far as the personal injury attorneys go, I'm in total agreement...

Hey, the attorneys have to make a living too. If you don't want to be charged the percentage (which is more than 15% almost always) work the case yourself. Otherwise, amen.

Will the U.S. fall? Inevitably. It might be in 50 years, or it might be when the asteroid strikes, but it'll happen.

BTW, isn't english the official lanaguage?

I scored > than 51 but I'm not a conservative. I am an individual with a voice who happens to agree with some conservative views in this instance.

Allowed - Yes, Required - NO

Damn Straight, And non-able bodied people shouldn't have to fight tooth and nail to get on Disability!

Yes. And the death penalty should be mandatory for these crimes.

I can not agree with that. I believe that all men are created equal. All Men. This includes women and children AND those not born in USA. I believe it is out responsibility to fight for those that can not. Yes I can handle the truth. Can you.

True, but who other than the State Lotteries, is trying to make the poor rich. Most are only trying to keep the poor healthy and hale.

Um, This is already the case. Unfortunately there are too many boarders to cover. Also legal entry is not always good for the populace either.

Wow! I didn't even realize that question was up for grabs. Of course you learn the history of where you currently live. And you learn it from the public schools. It is your parents job to teach you the history of where you came from.

Um NO. A resounding NO. Next you will want a national religion. I don't want to speak spanish in 20 years but forcing someone to speak a certain way is very much against the whole point of the Bill of Rights intent. This is the true conservative view. Changing the Bill of Rights would be radical leftism.

Remember - Don't fix something because you "think" it's broke. Many times it's not and by fixing it you are really breaking it.

I agree but if they are limited to a certain percentage than they will just ask for more.

Pleanty of new science and technology exists to significantly reduce emmisions but the building caps, taxes, and fees involved in building new power plants and updated systems has rendered it impossible to "cleanly" make a profit.

BTW if hydrogen goes main stream are you going to pay for every gas station to dig up their underground tanks and replace them with high pressure delivery systems. Are you going to pay everyone in America to swich their vehicals overnight. The question is not "If" anymore it's "When" and "How". Swithching systems over night is impossible especially since everyone tried to design the car but up untill recentally no one thought about the delivery and distribution problems.

Do you want the wealthiest 2% of Americans to utterly rule over the rest of us and control us as property? Then you may be a BUSH Republican (which may differ from a conservative depending on who you ask).

92%, but I have a request that a couple questions be added, and two be deleted in their places:
First, delete question #4. National interests are a priority for every country, and no matter what country or side within that country you are for, you will have to answer yes. (Okay, maybe not EVERY side, but liberals and conservatives will both tell you national interests come first, though liberals will more often than not tell you that other parties are a much closer second than conservatives will on average.)
Second delete Question #10: Liberals are all for using science and technology to both NOT crash the economy AND develop cleaner fuels/energy sources. Same as conservatives.
Third, insert question #4: "The rights of the states to be individual supercedes the role of the federal government in deciding matters not specifically given to the federal government by the Constitution."
Fourth, insert Question #10: "People are rational, and therefore can make decisions that govern their individual lives better than a national entity."

States rights vs. federal rights is a HUGE conservative vs. liberal topic, and is much clearer at identifying the members of each group. Similarly, my Q10 is based directly off of John Locke's Classic Liberal Conservatism, what we call conservatism today (such as Speaker Dennis Hastert or Sen. John McCain). If you disagree with this principle, which is the very core of conservatism, then I doubt very much if you can truly call yourself a conservative.

Um. if you did not know. Kerry and his wife are way richer then the Bush.

I scored 100 on that test. I think 15% is about right with a ceiling on the amount of the amount that could be paid out.
If I may add, I feel that people who make the decisions that put a bad product out on the market and knowing do it should also be sued and not be allowed to hide behind the current laws.

I am NOT a Bush Republican when it comes to fiscal spending and border control. He should put a "Berlin-type" fence on the border with Mexico to reduce the tide of illegals coming in to the United States that cross without due process. Immigrants need to come into this country LEGALLY and under the laws of this country and not in the interest of Mexico. BTW...the Berlin wall was built to keep people "in", all I am askin for is a wall to keep illegals "OUT".

Also, I do not support Bush's discretionary spending since he took office. He and congress have increased this spending by nearly 80%! There is no fiscal responsibility when it comes to spending our tax money. Even if congress wishes to reduce the INCREASE of a budget item from 8% to 5%, Democrats will jump all over this, politize this, and call it a "cut" when it is not a cut.

As for the top 5% wage earners. These people pay over 50% of ALL income taxes collected by the government. You can't have employees without employers first. It is business owners that take the risk, work harder, work longer, study harder, and make smart decisions that eventually fulfill the American dream. Since 80% of all working Americans are employed by small businesses, you want to penalize the producers of this country even further!

But people like you Danr fall for this typical class-warfare argument and expect things handed to them at the expense of people that produce. Gimmee, gimmee, gimmee...take, take, take. Show us a plan other than more income tax redistrubtion that has any backbone...or are you going to live your whole life as "anti-conservative"?

It is easy to be "anti-conservative" when you have nothing else to promote and offer to this country. It is not a winning strategy because people rally behind those with a postive agenda, not an "anti" platform.

It was a good test Moen. I got a 100 on it!

Seriously, having conservative values does not make someone a conservative it just points out what your astute wife said. Great ideas do come from the conservatives, which I think your family would subconsciously label as being "right".

It's OK Meon, we mark you down for a "10" for that is as low as you can get on this test. But then again, if you "feel" like having a higher score because you find tests to be socially degrading and "unfair", go ahead and give yourself an "A". After all, its what government schools do to make everybody feel good about themselves.
