Heres Ted Nugent on gun control. Anybody who knows me personaly, like Clembo, will vouch for the fact that he is a personal friend and a blood brother of mine, it is because of Ted I am not dead or in prison.
Jack is right on when he says that anyone purchasing a gun should have to go to classes, how many incidents have happend with fierarms simply because the person who owned it failed to treat it with respect. As for Bikers and guns that is a deffinate yes LOL some years ago one chapter of the Hells Angels in Sweden attacked another gang with a rocket propelled grenade :-O and there was a recent shootout between ATF agents and The Outlaws in Old Orchard, Maine agants killed one of the bikers.
Ted is a right wing nutjob. Thought you didn't post here any more Jack? That guy is as mentally deficient as they come. There are about 300,000 reasons I could offer up. That dude's several cards short of a deck. His music sucks too. Did I mention he's an egomaniac?
He cannot steve, he thinks this is my income. I have tried to help TomC, I mentioned to him to stop working truckstops and rest areas and come out, be who he is. Untill he grasps the facts about himself, he will hate himself and everyone around him. It is a new age, and people like him are welcome in our society. Unfortunatly TomC lives in the closet and hates all of us ( really, he hates TomC ), ignore him, he is a troll.
Poor poor challanged tommyC, do not dispute one thing said, just attack the source. I post where I want and when I want....Poor poor Tommy C TomC, prove Ted wrong on any gun facts.......you have proven yourself a great investigator, you flipped me on the 9-11 thingy, now lets do it again......I am on your side dude... Or, again, you could just go to the nearest rest area and make a bunch of cash tonight.....eww, not my style, but at least you make money
Jack, any Amendment in the Constitution can be repealed, including the 2nd Amendment. I pretty sure God didn't write the second Amendment. Of course I also pretty sure the 2nd Amendment is more real than God too.
Isn't that kinda what some socialist said ? Neichie ( sp ): God is dead........God: Neichie is dead..... the right to own guns is self evident, as it states in the constitution. It cannot be taken away, it can only me made illegal. Every living animal on this planet has the right to self defence, granted by it's creator, not a government.
Welcome back Jack. Although I am not a huge fan of Ted Nugent I DO know that he and his wife helped Jack through some tough stretches of life. One thing I will give Ted Nugent for sure is that he adamantly preaches gun safety and gun knowledge. He reaches a broad audience with this message. Now as for the 300,000 thing. I know FOR A FACT that Jack earns more than that. Only problem is he gets paid in CENTAVOS!
Niche's comment is often misunderstood. He did not mean God is dead in the literal sense. He meant that the need for organized religion was over because people started looking to science for answers and the improvements in education meant that people could start to think for themselves rather than following Chrisianity and other dogma. Enforcement of the law and a better structured nationalized legal system meant that the fear of God was no longer needed to control people. I am of the opinion that God is not the creator, man is the real creator...of God. And as far as guns being a self-evident right, the Constitution and more specifically the 2nd Amendment do not agree. The 2nd Amendment says... "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Why are the first four words of this Amendement always ignored? I think that they are the most important part of the 2nd Amendment and that is why they were written at the very beginning. If it couldn't have been taken away, it wouldn't have been necessary to even write the 2nd Amendment. Guns are not now nor have they ever been any kind of devine gift.
I will kindly ask you to stop posting things like this. It is bad for the forum if you and I are in 100% agreement. LOL. I do think that the purpose for the right to bear arms is lost on most citizens of this country. However, banning guns of any type makes it impossible to form a well regulated militia. I think that the people in favor of gun control legislation are the ones who need to reread the 2nd amendment. If the end goal of the right to keep an bear arms is because a well regulated militia is necessary for the security of a free state then it is only logical that the militia have availability to the same weapons as any potential threat. I can guarantee you that any group that threatens the soveriegnty of this nation whether it be a foreign or domestic group will have fully automatic weapons at their disposal. IMO, the true interpretation of the 2nd amendment makes any gun control legislation unconstitutional.
You're going to get your wish. I am leaving on vacation in the morning and won't be posting for the next couple of weeks. I hope you guys have fun without me. I'm starting in Vegas and plan to get wild from there on. As I've said, I don't believe in banning guns. But I also believe that we need to have a national conversation about them and decide why we allow them to permeate our country and whether supporting a couple of lines in the Constitution are really worth all the violence that goes along with the right to bear arms. Clearly, all we have today is slogans and entrenched positions and little real public debate that would define the need or lack of need for guns. Anyway, have fun shooting your mouths off (nice pun eh?). I'm outta HERE!
I have nothing to fear anymore, no skeletons. Ted Took me as a drug addicted street level alcoholic loser and helped me turn my life around. On a personal level, not just rock star. The man cares. Anyways, Moen, you cannot take away my right to defend myself no matter how many laws you pass.......Dont Tread on Me, I will defend myself. Period. In any situation, under any circumstance, at any time, I will defend my family and myself with what ever it itakes. A court may find me in violation of a court issued law, anything you can legislate cannot take that right away. I am not worried about courts and judges, I will be judged by the final top man, buck stops here, no bullcarp, my creator. No appelate court reverses that decision my friend. Edit: It was so cool Pm'ing you about Walleye fishing. I would love to spend a weeknd with you, Clembo and DanR fishing and camping. I'll be outnumbered 3-1, but I already love n get long with the other 2. Might as well ad you to the mix, enjoy your vacation bro !!
Speaking as a "gun guy", I do not object to guns being licensed or even mandatory training on proper handling & storage of guns. There is a responsibilty to your fellow man when you decide to posses a gun which isn't any different than owning/driving an automobile. I'm not a hunter, never have been, but I've been a sport shooter since I was a little kid- some of my fondest memories are of days spent with my father & grandfather shooting. They are the ones who taught me about the responsibilty of handling a gun and I have continued this with my 2 daughters. We go shooting at least once a month & make a day of firing off the different guns we own...anywhere from old Lugers & Colts to shotguns, muzzleloaders & power military rifles. I own guns for pleasure as well as security and wouldn't be the least bit hesitant to use one if my family & home was being threatened. As has been argued for many years, if you try to restrict gun ownership rights of law-abiding people it would violate one of our most basic Constitutional rights and have no effect at all on the criminals- they will continue to possess guns illegally whether they bring them in from outside the country, steal them or even manufacture their own. We can take it even further, if all guns were eliminated then criminals could resort to knives. Ban knives? Then it's muscle. Eliminating guns would only serve to change the weapon of choice for the criminal so I believe that is a moot arguement.
Jack, I have been wondering why you would want to spend your time surrounded by liberals, then it dawned on me! You want to teach them the virtue of personal responsibility & self-reliance. Out in the wild, if you get cold you have to make a fire, if you get hungry you catch & fix your own food...no one is going to be there coddling you, putting a fish on your hook. Great thinking! Make it a teachable moment & I apologize if I gave away your plan.
Oh Golly Uncle Jack! Would you please, please, please teach me how to fish and start my own camp fire to stay warm. I mean, even though I've been doing those things my whole life I sure could use some tips from you. LOL Anyway Jack, Me and the wife are headed up to the UP in about a week. Just a short trip to get out of Dodge as it were. Gonna "rough it" in a motel this time but there are plenty of roadside grills up there. We'll be using those for meals we have prepared. If we run out of charcoal I've heard that sticks can be used as fuel for cooking stuff. Is that true? I'll send you some pics when we get back.
David, I like to associate with Liberals !!! Hell I'm from union town Detroit and my family is almost 100% liberl union Democrats, it is my point of view that hearing the other side of an aisle helps to educate yourself...yannow, hear both sides. As a conservative loaded with facts, I have zero problem in a debate. I am not touchy feely..... DanR opened my eyes to the plight of teaching in the public school system, Clembo and I agree on windfarms as we drove thru them in California. We are miles apart, but any common ground can be built upon. I'm pretty sure Clembo knows how to fish and start a fire, but I do agree with the program A liberal want a free fish, a conservative wants to catch his own.....Clembo is actually a conservative, he just doesnt know it yet. I am workin on him ;-)
Just thought I'd give you a bit of current info on what is going on here in Utah. This was the front page of the paper today.... http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/home/49849261-76/gun-utah-carry-permit.html.csp Now today somebody proposed some new legislation. I haven't read it yet, but I will. You can find it at the link provided.
