Service Pack 3

Has anybody bothered to download Service Pack 3? It says it has new functionality but the user won't notice it. What kind of an expiation is that? Anyway I'm working on a computer and was doing updates and came across it. Sometimes these updates cause more headaches than they cure.

What bugs me is that it didn't try to install itself with the automatic updates.

 

I've been using service pack 3 for about 6 months now, never had a prob.

I installed it after my crash. Don't seem to have had any problems, but I don't do anything fancy with my 'puter. It was doin' some wierd stuff on its own the other day, though.

 

I've got service pack 3.. seems to be fine.. Course, I have no clue what it is/does..


Hey Bender.. what's that v.3244? Mine just says service pack 3.. no version..

 

Because I have a pre-release version of service pack 3 (HELPS TO KNOW THE RIGHT PEOPLE )

I didn't even know it was out. I thought that if and when it came out it would install with the other automatics but it didn't. I installed it on the computer I'm working on but it won't install on mine. It just frezes up. I'll try it again but if it dosn't go I won't bother.

 

When I installed it at work on three computers there, it kept freezing up and I would close out and restart the install. It will pick up where it left off.

 

I finally got it to install. I had to uninstall and re-install my AVAST anti-virus afterwords though. It wouldn't recognize it until I did.
