No Obama has not been as supportive to the LGBT community as he said he would be. But Obama is a politician. A sizeable portion of his primary constituency stands in favor of gay rights issues, as well as a host of other liberal agendas, what with them being liberals and all. Conservatives politicians on the other hand primarily speak towards a conservative constituency. One who is typically not for gay rights and a lot of other liberal ideas, what with them being conservatives. So it is logical to assume he would be more willing to listen than the other group, even if practically we all know it's just a fantasy. While I don't have high hopes of him doing anything other than what he has done or three years now, that doesn't mean liberals will vote for a republican. Especially this batch.
