Kind of like how McCain was soundly rejected by his party in 2000 and seems to be getting soundly rejected by Americans (at least in polls) in 2008? No, Ron Paul is not a third party candidate this year which is why I have not looked deeply into him other than knowing he has some ideas that are quite sound. He seems like a pretty consistent guy, though, unlike the person who won either of the primaries. If he said we had it coming or deserved it then I would soundly reject him too. If, however, he said that our interventionist policies and attitude in the world can have consequences back home, I would agree. And, no, I have not looked deeply into what he has actually said on the matter over time because he is not running for anything that I will be voting in. But, if you are talking about what he said n the debate, Giuliani grossly distorted what was said.
