Right-wing Hero George Zimmerman Assaults 3rd Woman

I never commented on the original threads because I had no idea who was right or wrong. Something always seemed a bit screwy about the story. I began thinking this new story was another "O.J." affair until I listened to the 911 call by the girlfriend. Something doesn't seem quite right there, either.

She's on a 911 call, but describing what he's doing while "supposedly" talking to him..."You just broke my glass table. You just broke my sunglasses. You have your gun in my face"...but you don't hear glass breaking or his voice at all. Then she complains he pushed her out of her house and locked the door.

I don't know about the rest of you, but if a known killer was busting up my place and had a gun in my face, I would be gett'n the heck outta Dodge! ...not standing on the front stoop waiting for the Police to show up. ...just saying.

 

Little Joe, why don't you let the criminal justice system run its course? Even a democrat like Zimmerman deserves his day in court assuming, of course, that this case makes it that far.

Support something everyone else knows is wrong until you are so backed into a corner, and then lash out against those that have been telling all along that you were wrong and never apologize for your previous support. Finally, say that you were on the right side all along and hopefully no one will remember your previous stance. Maybe that works with the Right's base but I am not nearly that dumb. Thanks for posting that, RLM. Yes, all along I've noted that Zimmerman is a democrat and, like yakpoo, have neither defended nor condemned Zimmerman. If Little Joe will go back and read my posts, all this time I've been saying that he shouldn't be convicted in the court of public opinion. To say that he's guilty before trial and that he should probably die (as some liberals on here stated) is just, well, un-American.

Zimmerman was found not guilty in a court of law, Little Joe. Do you understand that? NOT GUILTY! He had his day in court. I'm asking that you stop being such a Nazi about this and that you respect the American rule of law and allow him his day in court on this new charge. There's a difference between defending HIM and defending his RIGHT.

This is why it's always good to get the facts and let matters run their course before jumping to conclusions. The girlfriend says that detectives "misinterpreted what she said". Why do people insist on convicting Zimmerman in the court of public opinion even before all the facts are known? Simple minds, I suppose...

George Zimmerman asked a judge on Monday to change the terms of his bond so he can​

have contact with the girlfriend he's accused of assaulting.​

Zimmerman filed an affidavit from his girlfriend that says she doesn't want him charged with aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief.​

In the signed affidavit, Samantha Scheibe — referring to Zimmerman as "my boyfriend" — said that detectives misinterpreted what she said and that she hasn't been coerced into the request.​

Zimmerman was arrested last month after Scheibe accused him in a call to 911 of pointing a gun at her, smashing a coffee table and pushing her outside. Zimmerman also called dispatchers, denied pointing a gun at her and blamed her for the broken table.​

"I am not afraid of George in any manner and I want to be with him," Scheibe said in the affidavit.​

I don't know to whom Zimmerman is a "hero", but once again you're wrong about him self-destructing. His girlfriend has recanted her story and the prosecutor has declined to file charges. It doesn't sound like he's "coming apart at the seams" as you predicted or "self-destructing by his own hand" as you also predicted. A word to the wise, Kreskin, you might want to clean your crystal ball; it's cloudy.

Zimmerman won't be charged in alleged domestic incident with girlfriend

Florida prosecutors say they will not file domestic violence charges against George Zimmerman after he was arrested in an incident with his girlfriend last month.

Zimmerman, who was acquitted earlier this year in the highly-publicized murder trial of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, had faced charges of aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief following the Nov. 18 incident at the central Florida house he shared with Samantha Scheibe.

Schiebe told authorities Zimmerman had threatened her with a gun, but in a sworn affidavit last week recanted her claims, and asked for the charges to be dropped.

She said she felt “intimidated” by the police officers interviewing her and she may have misspoken when describing the incident.
