Who cares if someone is a republican or if someone else is a democrat. Who cares if someone tends to vote more either way more or less. The point is that we should all vote for who we feel is the best person for the job and respect who wins afterwards. I just arrived here and it seems as if some democrats are like shia and some republicans are like sunni and they are ready to blow each other up over the smallest of things. After all the last time I looked it is a bunch of lawyers running the county anyway.
VFL Politics has become a blood sport in this country and winner takes all. It is what we have allowed our leaders to make of our political system and only we can take it back if we have the guts. I wouldn't hold my breath.
I never have voted for a person because they were republican or democrat, I vote for the person I think will do the best job for our country. And if I feel that the candidates running are not qualified and do not have the ability to work with everyone to get the job done they do not get my vote. There have been times when I have voted and the person I voted for did not win, but win or lose I always have and always will support the president of the United States.I will agree that at times we have many problems here in our country but it sure beats whats in 2nd place at least that is the way it seems to me. Bruce.
I rarely vote for a republican or democrat, and I usually don't have a lot of respect for the winner because they haven't earned it. I think it's bad for the country to show any president much respect. They always need to keep in mind that a free people do not need to be "LED." In my opinion, Americans have become too comfortable with authority. Whoever the president happens to be, it isn't his/her country.
I agree VETFORLIFE but to listen to the other side of the aisle, it is Dick Cheney and big oil who are running the show and not the poor distrodden lawyers. Abe Lincoln was a lawyer and look what he accomplished. US Grant was a hardware store clerk, Ronald Reagan an actor, W a rich kid, Bush Sr. a combat pilot, HS Truman a clothing store clerk, FDR another rich kid, Nixon a Navy veteran, Bill Clinton a prowler, Jimmy Carter a rabbit scarer, it goes on and on with no end in sight.
