I see this occur from time to time. It just goes to show that even the most religious among us have failings they can't control. Speaking of that...I wasn't going to mention the Easter Sunday thing with the new Bishop of Rome (he prefers that over "pope") out of some odd sense of respect for the religious here, but what the hey... ...did you see him grab that disabled boy and kiss him? I'm not talking about the kiss on the cheek, that I had no issue with. It was the seemingly mouth to mouth and neck kisses that made my jaw drop when I first saw it. I tried finding it online the next day, but the only video I found (on ABC) used two pictures...the kiss on the cheek and the kids arm around the pope's neck afterwards, which I found odd for a video lol I eventually saw the scene in it's entirety again, and paid close attention to what I had seen a couple days earlier and it didn't look as bad as I had originally thought. The pope did run his mouth over the kids mouth, lingering briefly, but it was more on the kids lower lip/chin than full open-mouth. Overall though, it was a bit too passionate of an encounter considering the scandal the church continues to face over the sex-abuse cases. I understand it was compelling to the religious to see the pope do such a thing, but less kissing wouldn't hurt...especially after his previous lip-lock encounter that people are complaining about.
